So I browsing youtube the other day hunting the Oblivion Soundtrack, and came across this -

At first I thought it was an official prologue by the studio (like viral thing), but apparently it was fan made over the top of a voice over where Morgan Freeman is doing his typical god voice monologue and I thought "shit, that's pretty awesome when you put images to it", as it's actually kinda lame in the movie itself.

So I suppose the qeastion is, have you ever came across a fan-movie that has legitimately enhanced a movie, a book or a game? etc...

Not a movie per-se, but a Portal 2 "mod". The community test series "Designed For Danger". Inspired in the developer's scraped idea of presenting each personality core through the game, someone made an elaborate series of community test chambers where Rick (the adventure sphere) takes control of the facility and tries to help Chell to escape; but not before she goes through his test adventure chambers.

I wouldn't say a fan movie, but a fan trailer definitely helped get me interested in the Green Lantern

Not a fan movie, but the Darth and Droids comic makes me appreciate the Star Wars prequels.
