Has anyone else heard about this?

So my dear escapist every now and then I like to research a topic and obsesses about it for a week or two before moving on to the next. Lately I've been reading up on hemp, and after reading a article [http://www.world-mysteries.com/marijuana1.htm] about the good hemp can bring which I generally agreed with but thats neither here or there at the end of the article it says that theres evidences that hemp is alien plant that was brought here for the benefit of humanity. As a sucker for conspiracy theories I had to look this one up but either my Google-fu is off today or that guy totally pulled that out of his ass. So escapist have you ever heard of any of these claims before? Because this is honestly bugging me. I guess for added fun you could either talk about your favorite conspiracies or your opinion on hemp or post funny my little pony pictures your choice. BUT number one priority is to help me out if you can!

EDIT: While googling around I've also say someone posting on a thread saying that the Venus fly trap is also a alien plant but I have know idea where people are hearing this from. I wanna know dammit.

Why would an advanced alien race capable of faster-than-light travel (and most likely other scientific and technological wonders) leave something as relatively insignificant as hemp for us?

This is the first time I've ever heard about this. Quite frankly, it sounds like just one more crazy theory borne of common ignorance.

Thats what I want to know. It was the first time I've heard this claim too, and wanted to read up about it for shits and giggles but can't find anything on the Internet mentioning it besides this one article. It bugs the crap out of me when I can't find something on the damn Internet.

I've hear marijuana aficionados claim that pot is really the soma from early Hindu holy texts, the Vedas I think, but they just want to use the "its my religion" excuse to smoke pot.
