Alright, firstly I apologise if this has already been brought up but I couldn't find anything (although I didn't look very hard). I've been trying to get a copy of Diablo III for a few days now and it is sold out almost everywhere. The only place where I can find it is one store where it's £45, which I refuse to pay for a game. Besides that I can only find it on Amazon from third party sellers for even more money.

The weird thing is though, it that no where knows when it's getting anymore in stock. Being that I work at a supermarket myself, I got someone on electrical to look in to it for me and I also asked a friend who own his own game store. Apparently, the game is getting re-printed and so no more copies are being sent out (I don't know if they've stopped production or anything) and stores can only expect to get it back in, in 4 - 5 weeks. I have no idea if this is worldwide or not, or if it is just the case for the UK.

The only reason I could think why this might've happened is due to all the reports of hacking in to servers and accounts, but I have to say that it's pissed me off. I've never been someone who dislikes Blizzard and I've rarely had a bad thing to say about them, but the way they've handled this is poor (if what I've heard is the case). I've not been looking forward to many games recently but this was the exception, so it's left me feeling really disappointed.

So, can anyone find anything to back up what I've heard or have your own opinion on this if it is true? Once again, apologis if this is already a thread, just redirect me there and we'll pretend this never happened...

It's available via Direct Download. This is a common issue with retail stores, especially with PC games, and has been for many years now. EB Games slogan should basically be "We don't have the game you're looking for, unless you pre-ordered 8 months ago". It's more or less what drove me to Steam and buying almost exclusively online. I used to like holding a box in my hands, but I like actually being able to buy the fucking games I want even more.

Buy online. You'll be waiting weeks, maybe even as much as a month or more before you get a physical copy.
