I bought the game 'Fracture' some time ago but decided to actually play it a few weeks ago. Its fun, dosent take itself to seriously (which is good because the story is terrible) and it has some of the coolest guns EVER. But when I made it to the final boss (which I was hoping was a giant robot) I had to face this evil mastermind that turned into this minotaur/boulder launching/thing/monster (which you have to fight about 4 times throughout the entire game) that had to be hit in these shiny spots in its body (like lost planet). This would have been easy if it weren't for these little bug things that popped out of the ground and killed you with one hit if you were on the floor. This forced to jump around the little arena like a jackass for about 30 min, slowly taking the boss's life away. When I finally killed the fucker, he did that dramatic 'fall slowly the ground' animation while I stood nearby gleefully enjoying the spectacle. When suddenly, I get run over by a boulder and die. As the screen went black and the words Mission Failed appeared, an achievement popped up: "Act 3 finished". Thats right, I beat the game but I technically didnt, you can imagine my anger and disbelief but I nonetheless re-did the entire boss fight (because this game has the worst fucking checkpoints) and killed him again and got the end cutscene.
Has this bullshit ever happened to you?
Also, I just finished bioshock last night and noticed that the final boss there is the exact same thing as the one in Fracture: A lumbering brute that throws things at you and then charges into your last position and stands there like an idiot while you shoot him.
