Has your in game name, forum name, or avatar ever been stolen?

Anyway, for all you people with more original names than I, has the title ever happened to you?.

I once spotted another cyber-andyy on COD4 on the same server. I have also spotted just now my EXACT avatar being used by someone else on the escapist. ( kinda annoying, at first I will admit but, it inspired this thread)

Once. My "friend" Ryan really liked my name "Mercanary57" despite it being purposely misspelled to destroy any uncreative asshole's intentions to out right copy it. So, he tries to use it any game, forum, or chat room.

Only once have I been told that the name "Rascarin" was already in use when I tried to join a forum.

One of my "friends" created his xbox live tag as Daonec and uses it on many mmo's like I use Baonec then another copied him and used Jaonec, ticks me off to no end knowing they're going round destroying my reputation and doing good deeds.

I see Xitel around maybe once every year. This year being the worst, when I found out it was a speaker company that stole it. A speaker company that seems to specialize in iPod speakers.

Back in the good ol' days of Runescape I went by the name of Pyromanik, I tried pyromaniac, pyromaniak, pyromanic and finally Pyromanik. But if I ever used it anywhere else (Guild Wars - XBL) it had been taken. So I now go by Little Davey/Davey Woo

I've never had trouble with my name being stolen as of yet (ladies and gentlemen...the one, the only...IRON MAL!) but I've seen others on this forum with the same picture of Rorscarch from the Watchmen and one of my friends on XBL has exactly the same gamerpic and avatar look as I do (I find it funny to be honesy).

Davey Woo is also more unique to me, so it's less likely to get stolen.

Who in their right mind would ever, ever use the name rottenbutter? You'd have to be crazy to do that!

As for the avatar, I got the original from an avatar website, so I've seen a few termi-smiles floating around (there was even a guy on here using it for a while), but now, thanks to Fanboy, my avatar has been animated and customized, and is now a Rottenbutter trademark.

I seriously hate it when people use the nick: Fronken, cause im probably the original when it comes to that nick (i've had it since 1993), and everyone i know irl knows me as Fronken, no one uses my normal name, not even me, i hate my normal name (Fredrik), and its the nick i've used on the internet since 97 when i got my first computer.

So yeah, i hate it when people steal my nickname.
