Now, here's the catch; Have you ever done something, which, at a later point, you found out was illegal?
Can be pretty much anything, considering certain countries have different laws. Something might not be illegal in your country, but highly illegal in another.
I thought of this while doing something I really had no idea was illegal, seeing as it's pretty stupid.
I was recently visiting Estonia. Traveling from Norway -> Stockholm -> Boat to Tallinn.
On the way back, I figured; "Hey, gotta bring something back, you know."
In to the Tax-Free shop i go, pick up something that's not that common where I live; A bottle of Stroh, 80% Rum.
Happy with my purchase, I go and do what normal "young" people do on said "cruises"; We get shitfaced.
The day after, we dock in Stockholm, get on the bus and head for the border.
When we're approaching said border, with the customs ready to rip us a new one, I asked if anyone knew what the legal percentage of alcohol which we were allowed to bring back into Norway was.
Turns out it was 60%, anything above is counted as narcotics. "Yikes", I thought. A criminal record for something this small? Gah, what a stupid country to live in.
Luckily, the people in the customs didnt think a busload of youths would smuggle anything, so we passed through without any checkups.
Now I'm officially a drug smuggler. My life of crime can commence!
What's your silly story?
