Have you ever found yourself addicted to a word?

Seriously, have you ever found yourself addicted to a word?

What I mean is, have you ever found that there is a word that you are using almost constantly?

And no words like, the, a, etc, of course.

I started the first post of this thread with the word I am addicted to. "Seriously". The main reason I believe this has happen is I have made it a defensive measure in most of my posts.

Over the beginning months that I first became an Escapist member, I had lots of people quoting me and asking if the view points I make are serious, or if I am just joking around or trolling.

So, I guess it has become a habit. The majority of the time I want to emphasize that I mean what I am saying, I use "seriously" to convey it.

I'll even broaden this discussion to include phrases as well.

People notice a large use of certain words in many of reviews. The main ones being "really" and "fairly", although I've tried to break that habit now that it has been pointed out.

Oh, yes, one of my friends use to say "huzza" all the time. It is a word that I used a lot too during the summers he would have 360 game nights at his house.

I'm addicted to the German verb "schlafen". It means "to sleep". I just love the way it sounds.

It counts, I use it a lot as well.

You and everyone else in my hometown got addicted to that word. My cousin seems to be addicted to it too. Everytime he says epic I stare at him until he says "opps, I meant awesome/great/anything else". Got to nip the habit in the bud.
