Topic says it all. Personally, my mom gave me a pink jacket this christmas, although she knows Im quite the tomboy and can't stand that.. "colour". I think everybody saw the disappointed look on my face, because things got pretty awkward after that..

So yeah, horrible christmaspresents anyone?

Nope never happened to me.

Usually my parents let me pick out a present and they pay for it. And even if they did go out of the way and bought me a present its usually something nice and I'm thankful for it.

When I was little my grandparents got me a cassette tape for Christmas of some damn 1950's R&B and I was so pissed I did get upset and pout like a baby. Then I opened it and it was Metallica's Ride the Lightning inside. My cousin convinced my grandparents to trick me. He is a dick.

Yes I did say cassette. I am going back to my cave now.

Surprisingly not, my parents ask what the main thing I want is then just get me little things, and there all something that make me smile or laugh which is surprising as I'm "so hard to shop for."

My mother got from my grandmother a cassette player for Christmas two or three years ago. No cassettes to go with it, just the player. I was almost brought to tears... laughing so hard at the turn of events.
I'm not a terrible person, I swear >_>

I got some random games this year.
Not bad per se, but just kinda weird to get Street Fighter IV (not the Super version, though) and The Force Unleashed.
Both are games I'd wanted for a while, but just never got around to picking up.
That's what makes it weird, I guess.

I was never upset about a gift, but I expressed disinterest once when I was a shitty teenager. My parents got me a lego thing when I was like 15 or 16, and I thought I was too cool/old or something to be getting lego. I wish I had a time machine to punch myself in the face.
I would never do something like that these days.
Its much better if your whole family is in on the joke that is commercialism though.
My friends dad got him a can of haggis for Christmas, and he didn't complain, he thought it was hilarious.
