I've dreamt I was playing GTA IV.Because that was just something that I wanted to do REALLY BAD but couldn't.BUT STILL,I got to play it.You know how much time passed since it was announced and I actually got to play it?4 AND A HALF FUCKIN YEARS »:C
it was weird I demt I was in left 4 dead without ever playing it
thease zombies were the slow kind, however and they were emerging from the shadows, I think it was in a park at night

I do frequently enough, but I can really only remember the time where I dreamt I was kicking ass on BlOps in Nuketown or when I was playing Minecraft.

I've dreamt that I was playing Rift a couple of times.
I've dreamt that I was Samus in Metroid Prime 3.
I often see my UI for Rift appear at the bottom and sides of my vision when in completely unrelated dreams.
I also dream about different specs and builds for all MMO's I've played, along with what gear I should aim for and where to get it.
I procrastinate too much...

way back in '92 when I was just a pupster, I played Doom on my friend's older brothers computer. I loved it but it freaked me out. That night I dreamt I was in the game, surrounded by demons and all my guns were empty

I've never dreamed of playing a game, but I have dreamed of being the player character. I was running around a Call of Duty WWII battlefield, being barked at by my commanding officer. I was too much of a chicken to do any battle so I hid in the corner and sobbed. Fucking scary dream.
I had a dream about playing halo reach and portal 2 in the weeks before they came out. The dream was nothing like the finished product but it was a bit weird. The dream version was also nowhere near as good.
I dream of games all the time. Mostly if I play the same game over and over for days on end and sleep rarely (meaning when I do sleep, the dreams are more vivid. Awesome when it's gaming dreams, not so much when it's spider nightmares and you're arachnophobic.)
Mostly I dream of bad company 2 and Assassin's Creed.

I recently had a dream that involved Uncharted of all things. The most vivid part was where I was desperately clinging to some ancient lift mechanism as it propelled me up the inside of a stone tower. I kept getting dirt and dust in my face and my fingers kept slipping. It wasn't a very nice dream.
Then some kind of apocalypse happened and everybody put on ceremonial garb, went into underground bunkers and sealed the entrances with veils of flame. At which point someone asked if we would still be able to get internet while underground.
It gets fuzzy after that, but somewhere along the way I got captured by Russians who forced me to learn their language. (I'm pretty sure that part was inspired by something I once read about the French Foreign Legion.)

So yeah... my subconscious clearly has a downright terrible sense of story structure.

Had a dream once I was a Cop in the Half Life universe. Arrested a Vortigaunt and a person for illegal headcrab fighting ring. Bet 50 on number 1. When I found out they had rigged the thing I arrested them. Probably should have done that when I found out about the thing.
I've had more dreams about game designing than gaming itself, but a few were about corporate properties rather than original ideas.
Of course, any dreams about sequels to dead franchises in retrospect might as well have been nightmares since that just isn't going to happen.
