Have you seen a younger kid with a 3DS?

I'm talking about kids 10 and under. In my experience, I only saw one young kid with a 3DS XL. All other kids I see are playing the DSi. While older kids and teens I've seen have a 3DS. I've seen at least 2 people in my school have a 3DS.

To answer the question: Yes, I have, and a lot of them at that. Not sure if the 2DS will change that.

On a slightly unrelated note: Why should this matter? Most people understand that there are plenty of older gamers who enjoy Nintendo's handhelds. Or are you so insecure with your love for Nintendo that so many of your threads have to be about how socially accepted Nintendo is while so many others are about the maturity level of Nintendo's games, systems, and fans?

I've never seen anyone with a 3DS, period. Handhelds aren't very popular in Argentina. Scratch that, anything not-Sony isn't popular in Argentina.

Last time I saw someone playing a handheld in public it was a DS I have never seen anyone play with a 3DS, Vita, PSP or even a smartphone in public (saw loads of people playing snake on the old Nokias though) in this country. I saw loads playing them in Japan.

I've only seen people play their 3DSs at my university. So no. But I'm not exactly around young children much.

What's surprised me is that when I have seen a younger kid with a handheld, it's been a smartphone.

I think part of that may be that older teens and adults can buy it with their own money and don't have to beg their parents for it. My 7 year old cousin does and he says a lot of people have them at his school, but since I don't go to elementary school I can't say how it compares to university. I don't see many people playing it at my university, but I do get quite a few spotpasses so they're there.

I have no idea how to tell the difference between the 3DS and a DS, so I probably have and just didn't no it. Then again, I try to avoid places with lots of children since they get on my nerves, so I would have no idea how popular the 3DS is with them. I wouldn't say that it matters though, considering how popular the 3DS is I would be very surprised if only adults were buying them.

I see kids playing on their phones in public, sometimes I see a kid with a tablet but I have never seen a kid with a 3DS, Vita or PSP. A few years ago it was common to see kids with a DS but that time is gone. It's all about phones and tablets now.

At the place I worked this summer, I'd say 3DS's were still in the minority compared to DS's (I worked mainly with seven to nine year old boys) but maybe a quarter to a third of the kids had one, compared to none the year before. I expect that number will increase as the DS is phased out and the 2DS/3DS becomes the new standard.

I've only seen teens with 3DS's, however that is probably because on a daily basis I only see teens. If I were to be in more kid active places I would probably see plenty of 3DS's.

I've seen more people around my age (20-somethings...also teens) using a 3DS than I have kids but I have seen plenty of kids using 3DS's while out and about. The 3DS has sold extremely well and will likely be the best selling console this generation so it isn't exactly odd to see people using the thing while out and about, no matter what the age.

I can't say I pay much attention to what younger kids are doing, but if my Street Pass hits during various trips to the mall during the holiday season are any indication, none of them have one.

Meanwhile, I capped out my Street Passes in like 10 seconds when going to a movie theater showing Madoka 3.

I think I've seen like three people with them, all of them were peers in my classes at college. And all of them got it for Pokemon.

No little kids with them. All the little kids are usually toting smart phones, tablets, or the plain old DS, DS Lite, or DSi.

I give it a few years, but I don't know how popular smart phone gaming is going to be this generation.

Yes, but it seems like most of the people I run into with 3DSs are either teenagers or older. Especially at the few conventions I've gone to, lots of older people with 3DSs. Really little kids though? Not many.

Yes... But, I'm going to assume adding that it was mostly at an anime con doesn't count in this situation...

Other than that... Once... and he's my neighbor's kid... (I found out via Street Pass...)

I don't usually see a lot of younger kids so I don't recall seeing any with a 3DS and if I did it probably wouldn't I would see as memorable.

That being said, not very long ago I did see a younger kid with a gameboy advance which I thought was a little odd considering how old they are.

The only kid that I know of that has a 3DS is my youngest cousin (he is 8) and he doesn't really play it all that much, he would much rather play his Playstation 3. Other than him, the rest of the people that I know of that have 3DS's are teenagers and people in their early 20's, but then again, I don't really have that much interaction with children.

The youngest I've seen are my sisters (13), even that's technically a 2DS. In fairness I don't mix in circles where I would see many kids playing on any handhelds

I had a tag from what seemed to be a little kid once, but I didn't see him; otherwise no. Mostly I just see people with them on campus... but I'm not in places where I'd see many little kids, either.
