Hey guys!

My Razer headphones just died, and I need a replacement! :)
From stuff that I just read, apparently Razer headphones are not that great compared to other stuff on the market.
Can you help me find something good?

I am a LoL streamer, so I need a really good quality Mic on the headset (as much ambient noise reduction as possible)
I am looking into the cheaper gaming headsets (~$100 to ~150)

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance :D

I use a pair of Turtle Beach PX21s. You can pick them up for about $60 and for the money they're incredible, and they work on 360, PS3 and PC and the mic seems pretty good too.

There's a PX22 as well now for about $80, but I don't have any experience with that.

Thanks, it does look like something nice, but is it comfy?
I play ~ 10hrs a day (its my job)so comfort is also a priority :D
It looks like those pads would get pretty warm no?

Yeah they can get quite warm after a while. As for comfort, I guess that depends on the size of your ears etc. I don't know what retailers do where you live, but GAME in the UK usually has a bunch of Turtle Beach headsets you can try on and listen to.

I have a pair of Sennhieser HD 280 pros. They are balanced, perfect for accurate sound reproduction. I'd buy them and a USB microphone.

I know its not a well-know brand, but I think the best headset I've ever owned is my Sharkoon X-Tatic S7. It is extremely comfortable, supports Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound, is compatible with PC, PS3, and Xbox and is priced very competively at only $105. I used to own the PX-21 and they were very uncomfortable in my opinion.

Have you considered getting a Modmic [http://www.modmic.com/]? I haven't been able to buy one yet but from what I've heard it's a really solid mic. That and a headphone of your choice would work well. Failing that, try this thread [http://www.head-fi.org/t/534479/mad-lust-envys-headphone-gaming-guide-updated-7-18-2013-philips-fidelio-x1-added] on Head-fi.

I have a pair of Monster Diesel Vektr headphones. They're epic for sure, with great sound and pretty sweet comfort. No mic though, unless that's important. These retail for $250 though, but I got them for half of that on a Christmas sale.

...

Guess mine won't be very helpful then XD
