Hello everybody!
I am a Master student at the Bologna Business School in Italy, working towards obtaining a degree in Business Administration.
As a school project, my team mates and I are carrying out a research on the gaming market, with a focus on virtual reality.
In order to collect data, we wrote a survey that we would like to submit to all of you. It is really important for our work to reach as many people as possible.
For the sake of clarity, we would like to point out that the survey is totally anonymous, that we are not paid for this (and will not be for the results we will get), and that there is no reward of any kind for those who will fill that out.
If you want to have more information on our research, please feel free to do so!
As I said at the beginning, we are just students, there is no second end to what you see.
If you wish to give us your help, this is the link to the survey https://goo.gl/forms/mODjV8pAmz5O20dc2
A huge thank you to all those people that will take the time out of their day to answer our questions!
Any and all feedback and help is highly appreciated!!!
xoxo

Done.

Wrote this in the comments field:

As a very long-time gamer who's experienced all genres of gaming in at least one form or another, VR really does not capture me at all. Or at least, not in its current form. Expense, clunkiness, and limited control (compared to a mouse and keyboard or even a controller) are the three big issues that are keeping me from taking VR seriously right now and it doesn't look like that's going to change anytime soon.

VR is fun, but at in it's current form it's nothing more than a short lived gimmick, for past two years i've been one of the enforcers at PAX in VR freeplay section and most of VR experience has been with the HTC Vive.

it's a very cool product, but it is still in it's very early stage of development. all the games that they've had at PAX the past 2 years have felt like cheap tech demo's, and while being pretty fun for say 5 or 10 minutes, i can't see VR being something that anyone would want to play for an hour or even half an hour.

it's good for really short bursts of play time with things like mini games. but i can't see anyone wanting to play VR for any more than about half an hour at once. and especially not for in depth games with like 20 hours+ worth of gameplay.

Thank you so much for your feedback, my teammates and I really appreciate your help!
We are not into gaming and VR in general, so any additional info from you is essential for us!
