Help with Fallout 3.

Hi, I don't know if there's a thread about this or not so I just decided to make this. Now I just got Fallout 3:GOTY Edition off of Steam and the game would startup correctly. Then when I got to the main menu and selected "New Game" it went to the loading screen, but then stopped and crashed. I went to the Tech Support site but all it said was to uninstall K-Lite or CCCP codec packs, and I don't have either of those. Can anyone tell me what could be wrong?

Additional Info:
-If it wasn't clear enough by me saying I got it off of Steam I'm running this on my PC.
-I'm running Windows Vista(64-bit)

Gimme a sec to bring up the old post....

Are you running a multicore processor? If so you have to write some items in.

I have quad core what ever that means, so what to I have to write where.

Okies, I got a screenie for you

Now what you have to do is find bUseThreadedAI=0
change it to =1
then add in InumHWthreads=2

Save and exit.
Also run it on lower video settings
