First off, Sorry if this has been made before, I looked but couldn't see anything.

The question being, how did you and your partner get together?

Did you ask him/her, or the other way round?
Did no-one ask, it just sort of happened?
Or, if you aren't in a relationship, either say about a previous one, or how you hope you will get into one.

Sorry, kinda rushed.

Not in a relationship, hoping NEVER to get in one. Seems waaaaaay too much hassle for someone who would likely piss me off at every opportunity.

It pretty much happened ... though I did express my love to her, and I think it really started rolling from there.

I asked all of my ex-boyfriends out aswell as my ex-girlfriends because I am a beast. And I always think that everything is worth a shot haha

She came to me and got me to admit that I liked her. After that, she basically asked me out. We've been together ever since, about 4 years now ^_^

Not in one yet but my age group seems to be into it (Middle teens) I don't find having a relationship purposeful. I look at having a girlfriend someone who you learn about and become close friends with before you settle down with them. I guess most kids my age seem to look at it more status enhancing than actual relationship. I understand having a crush on eachother, but I wouldn't call that being boyfriend and girlfriend.

I told her I loved her, she rejected me.

I no longer go near her at all.

Me and my wife met at a party. Luckily I had much liquid courage that night, so I talked to her. This was nine years ago when I much more shy and had little consequence. We got drunk, played black jack, listened to music, I showed her how to use glowsticks, did body shots a mutual friend drove us to IHOP, and then the four of us passed out in one bed together.

It was a great party. I called her the next day, and we've been together ever since.

Not in a relationship at the moment, but I just started talking to him and we went out a few times. We got to the point where everyone just got used to us being together, and I guess we did too. I asked him out first, but it was more just an invitation to hang out together. I never treat dates like dates, so it never feels like I'm actually asking people out.

that came over quite poetic seeing you have four hearts as your badges.
for this post it would be more appropriate if they went from warm to cold.
a slowly freezing heart.....

why yes school is featuring poetry right now, why do you ask.

We were great friends for about two years. We were always kindof into each other but where never avaliable at the same time so when we finally were, it just seemed natural. I guess I took the initiative but there was no decleration of love or "will you go out with me" kindof thing.

We kept getting randomly matched up in the random international mode of a Gundam game. We started talking, were friends for a long time, and now we're together.

An example on what you wish would happen:

I wish I could pluck up the courage to ask her out.

That's mine, and not the best example, but hey.

I'm not in a relationship at the moment. But I hope it doesn't involve a 'her'. I'm more of a 'him and him' kinda guy...

I met a girl in the mall, ended up turning into a five-night stand. She wanted me to meet her parents after we'd been together less than a week, I balked, "thanks for the good sex."

Last serious relationship? That would be my ex-wife. She approached me online---she was a fan of my wit and cleverness on the FARK comment threads. One thing led to another, and we ended up married for five years before divorcing.

I'm single now but accepting applications for the open girlfriend position.
