I'm done with this thread now.
Oddly enough, me too. It seems to have more in common with Combat Evolved than 2&3 did.Serenegoose said:Have you looked at the "gaming discussion" forum? That might be your problem
There's a fair few Reach topics in there, even if they're not drowning the forum in a tide of SPARTANS SQUEE.
Oddly, this is the first halo game I've been tempted to buy since Halo. 1.
Same here. Never played Halo, but this one actually makes me want to get it. Too bad I don't have a 360.Serenegoose said:Oddly, this is the first halo game I've been tempted to buy since Halo. 1.

For me, it's the idea of no Flood, but also the idea of hopelessness. So many games you win at the end. All's right with the world, congrats. I'm interested to see how such a... well, mainstream game will cope with the challenge of a 'you all die' ending. Plus, I've been familiar with Bungie since Marathon - As much as people who rail against Halo as being mainstream mediocrity (an opinion I've never held, they've all been rather enjoyable if unambitious) If anybody can manage such a writey-plot challenge, it's the guys who came up with DURANDAL.I am Omega said:Same here. That pretty much sums it up for me. I might actually buy it at some stage, both for having a more downbeat, less generic macho save the world story, and no flood.Serenegoose said:Azure-Supernova said:Oddly enough, me too.
