Hockey Eh?

So my fellow escapees as you may have noticed the Chicago Blackhawks have won the Stanley Cup a few days ago and that got me wondering. How many of you guys watch or play hockey and if so what is your favorite team (NHL, DEL, AHL, Ect.). I've played Ice and Dek (like street hockey, but on rubber)hockey for the last 8-9 years and my favorite hockey team is the NHL Washington Capitals. So my fellow fans please discuss. Oh and one more thing if you want you can add your favorite player. BTW My favorite player is Nicklas Bäckström of the Washington Capitals

I watch most of the Calgary Flames' games each year. They are my favorite team. I don't play, as I have weak ankles, and have been advised not to skate.

i watch alot of hockey when the season starts funny part is my girlfriend got me into it an have loved it ever since i dont play but i root for the washington capitals

I only started to get in Hockey last year. I can't skate since I always finish up breaking something. My team is the Montreal canadians.

I was so sad. If they hadn't lost to those damn Flyers, they would've made history!

Only watched the Men's Final in the last Winter Olympics. Good game, not entirely in love with it as I am with Rugby union or Formula 1 though.

Well the Calgary Flames continue to disappoint me, so I have to go with the Detroit Red wings.

I'm from Vancouver so I obviously love the Canucks, but I live in Calgary now, so whever Vancouver isn't playing I go for the Flames.

I used to be a big hockey fan until the year the NHL went on strike. Now I'm totally uninterested.

We (being my nuclear family) went to a Columbus Blue Jackets game a year or two ago. It was fun, Nationwide Arena's a cool place, but I don't watch sports much, hockey included, as a rule.

If I have to root for someone, it's always my state/city's team, so I root for the Blue Jackets.
