ApeX is very clearly Korean Apple, right down to the 1984 Advert but these ads often have their own twist and style. And the mockumentary gives a lot of context to the game's story.

I did a bit of digging, and found that the advertising and trailers and tie-in material was made by a company called Fire Without Smoke, who have done this sort of thing for a remarkable range of games.
