Homefront - What's your verdict?

Hey guys!

So I bought Homefront the other day.

I'd been putting off buying it for ages because even though in the lead up to it I was really excited, once it was released I heard a lot of mixed reviews. But in the end I bit the bullet and bought it anyway (Now that I have L.A. Noire out of my system!)

I don't know.....I like it.....and I don't.....in equal measure.

It has the "Holywood Movie" vibe that Black Ops had, only not as good because of the lack of actors who could actually act. I've never found that appealing, purely because the majority of the acting is properly cringeworthy. BUT, every now and again something utterly shocking will happen, and inject an amount of unexpected (if not inconsistent) amount of seriousness into the game. A seriousness that should've been on full display throughout, considering the almost frighteningly possible future it depicts.

What do you guys think? I'm wondering if I'm the only person who can't decide whether or not this game is brilliant or garbage...

Haven't played Homefront but I have a few friends who have their main annoyance was the lack of weapons in multiplayer. How ever I have played L.A Noire and I thought it was boring.

Yeah L.A. Noire was pretty long winded. The first hour or so I was pretty taken aback but after the 5th or so crime scene I was starting to get a bit bored too. Ending was disappointing too. Oh Rockstar....

Phelps should've been played by Al Pacino

I rented Homefront. I did not like it. As you have stated, it felt like Black Ops except not as good. The game just made me frustrated. It's a game that I wanted to like initially but ultimately hated.

I know what you mean man, it built up too much hype coming into it I think.

I still haven't actually finished it though, I feel like I'm halfway through, but because I'm aware of the tiny campaign I'm probably near the end, so I'm drawing my conclusions now haha!

I will say this though....I haven't been disappointed by this as much as Duke Nukem

Exactly like Call of Duty. Short story, boring gameplay, lame multiplayer. Regret my purchase.
