Read the latest news on COD: Goats PC system reqs, and it's obvious their horrid marketing attempt won't go unnoticed.
PC system reqs. are quite fake given the game's and its engine's "complexity". For instance, COD:Goats min. reqs. are higher than BF4. This is technical innovation... on paper. Not worth people's attention.
This rabble gave me a thought on how developers keep trying to pretend their tech is suddenly advanced or they start to artificially support some platform which they ignored previously. Double-face companies should die, correct?
As for technical innovation, it's not megatextures or file sizes as Treyarch / IW / Activision believes. Open your eyes wide, corporate and corrupt suits. Look at GTA5 and witness a next-gen game on last-gen platforms.
I assume myself correct stating that next-gen should be about game's storylines, and interacitvity, realism in some cases. Fuck graphics - polygon count on screen, particle effect density and texture resolution doesn't really matter. Bring us proper ideas, content, and emergent gameplay.
That's IT.
What are the most horrid game/gaming marketing tricks companies ever tried to pull off? Names as much as you can!
