Safer that in the US, yeah, but there's more or less nowhere where the police won't attack/kill people, especially certain sorts of people.Gotta be honest, that doesn't sound much better than a hostage situation. It is Canada so the people are probably safe from the police.
Can't we just go back to Columbine Swatting where the Swat team waited patiently outside for things to calm downSafer that in the US, yeah, but there's more or less nowhere where the police won't attack/kill people, especially certain sorts of people.
Speaking of which, while I'm generally against over-zealous policing, swatters are up there with people deliberately breaching covid restrictions for the lulz as "Sure, the people were unnecessarily heavy handed, but..." in regards to.
That sort of thing was official doctrine (as much as US police have that) for a while, old training films are rather "surround and isolate the place where the shooter is, slowly prepare", based on the idea of a hostage taker with demands not looking to just kill people. Took people a long time to change that way of thinking. Can't we just go back to Columbine Swatting where the Swat team waited patiently outside for things to calm down
Second that.
Though, Tireseas's link has an update saying it might be swatting instead of a real hostage situation.
I'm not understanding your point. Thankfully people are ok. If the hoax was swatting or misinformation, people still have been harmed and/or killed by such an action.*snips*
Given he's a channer wannabe, it's really just par for the course, and I ignore it.Also, there's a poster here who took the worst mass shooting in Canada's history and made light of it to make a political jab. Those people died, let's use it as a gotcha. That sits well with others?
