Combat looks like it could be really good actually vs just Arkham combat featuring Spiderman. I love combat systems that allow a good amount of player creativity so even if combat isn't that challenging, you can sorta make it challenging by trying to string together a really amazing sequence (kinda like what StealthGamerBR does with Dishonored). Plus, I always love a good juggle system. Hopefully, the mission design and story will be good as well to deliver a really great Spiderman game.

...okay, I know the video is about Spider-Man, but seeing the Spyro statue on the shelf alongside Ratchet and Clank warmed my cold, cynical heart. :)

Yet another of the three games I'm extremely excited for. Combat looks like fun. It's Arkham inspired, sure, but at this point it's either Arkham combat or Soulsborne combat. There doesn't seem to be another viable option for the industry. Regardless, it's got that Spider-Man flair, and that's all I really want. Honestly, this game looks like an updated and refined Spider-Man 2 and that's just the best!

Insomniac are far more talented a developer that gives me some honest-to-Apollyon hope for this one after the disappointment of the last few we dear not utter. Maybe they can make New York exciting too! You never know. All footage so far is looking a vast improvement already in the areas that were previously worrisome. Alas but of course there is a promotion for pre-order bonuses *le sighsies* whatever. At least there's no lootboxes, right?

game is literally just Spidey Arkham Asylum. kek.
...And? Can you think of a better idea?
Yeah, put it on a Nintendo console.

OT: I quite like the idea of giving Spidey a bunch of gadgets. It always bothered me that he just made his webshooters and left it at that -- You'd think if he was smart enough to make something like that he'd create a lot more devices to aid him in fighting crime. And it looks like Insomniac is doing just that.

I'm still not too sure about the game in general though, seeing as Insomniac has been pretty middling in the last... well, generation. From what I've seen thus far Siper-Man looks fantastic, but I'm still a bit apprehensive.

Combat looks fun.

Despite by worries on Dan Slott being one of the co-writers, I'm hoping this turns out good.
