I looked over the submission page but it seemed to be more geared for writing. It didn't include any information on video submissions. How does one go about pitching a video?

I'm guessing the pitch is pretty similar for an article or a video(series). You email them describing what you're planning to do, if they're interested they might ask you to send them a video.
It's rather common in all publishing not to accept unsolicited materials, because if they decide not to use it, and later they make a series that has some similarities you could sue them.
