Trivial question, I know, but I will invite the mass mocking of... you people... because I pondered this yesterday evening when I was eating said foodstuff... using chopsticks! Don't know if my sister's any better but she uses chopsticks at first, wraps a tissue around one end of the bone then proceeds to eat the rest without getting her hands 'dirty'.

OT: Had a barbecue yesterday, of which the legs of chicken were present.

I used chopstick too, it depends what eating utensils are available at that time.
Example-

At home- Most of the time it's going to be chopstick unless it's the Sunday roast dinner. Similar to the OP I used the chopstick to hold the bone and just bite onto the meat, that is if the meal is the usualy rice and bowl. Yeah I don't like to get my hand dirty either.

Sunday roast or not at home- I will be using knife and fork and I do use my hand to eat any small remaining meat left on it that are too small to cut.

KFC- Hands of course depite having the option to use the plastic forks and knifes in the building.

Never tried them either. They're just so messy too! My mates eat them by just holding the end and gnawing.

If it was good enough for my cavemen ancestors, it's good enough for me. I use my hands to eat drumsticks because it's the most convenient and it's the easiest way to make sure you get all the meat. Sure it may be messy but I tend to eat drumsticks in restaurants or at home so a sink to wash my hands is never really far off.
