How do you handle boredom?

You know how it is. You've got nothing to do, maybe you're having a slow shift at work with no internet access. Maybe you're traveling in WoW and get tired of Peggle. What do you do when you're bored? What's the dumbest thing you've done out of boredom?

I found out today that I'm not terrible at the Knife game. I got bored today, didn't even have a book at work, so I flipped out my knife and started stabbin' twixt my fingers (Basic Euro pattern, 1213141516(repeat)). Got going pretty darned quick before I started nicking myself and decided to move to a capped pen so I wouldn't be bleeding if I had customers.

I totally blame RDR for this discovery.

Anyways, what's your cure for the common bored?

I'll do one of two things:

A) Put on a movie, and then write a review of said movie.
B) Think about how life is going, how I can improve it, and basically just think about whatever comes to mind. I usually end up in tears.

I much prefer the former, although the latter is often much more productive.

Boredom? I know no boredom, only Minecraft. It has begun to completely eat up my free time.

I'm running out of stuff to do, though. Maybe I'll actually work on my Let's Plays once that happens.

Boot up Steam. If my computer isn't nearby (which, in the case of boredom, is 90% of the time), I usually carry my iPod with me.

My cure? I usually do 1 of 4 things.

A) Play Pokemon or Freelancer.

B) Read a new book.

C) Write a story.

or

D) Sleep, dream, wake up and then write a story.

I use to do the knife game all the time during my teens. I was a regular Bishop and most were impressed with my insanity. The good ol' days.

Boredom. Usually movies, though even then I usually feel fairly bored. Then I'll try gaming, but that very rarely helps. Channel surfing only leads to deprssion. So then it's back to movies. Boredom.

I don't have my son on the weekends so that's the time I feel the pain. Really should probably get in a new relationship but I don't want to be only a weekend lover. So I guess I will go throw in another movie instead.

I eat a ton when I'm bored. My stomach is never full when I'm bored. It's why I hate having days off work. I just eat everything I have.

As for entertainment, well I usually just go for a walk around town or go look around in a store.

Right now Minecraft eats up all the downtime at work and in this season, theres a lot of that. Other than that, I usually watch some bad TV Series or movies, do some work on my recordings, write lyrics, or as I´m doing right now, I browse the Escapist forum.

I know no boredom.

This morning, I had nothing to do, so I learned to make origami shuiriken.

I mostly do these at school. I do the Knife Game that O.P. does but with a capped pen in the 1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1 pattern. I do this thing where I look at the time and add, subtract, multiply and/or divide the digits. Example it is 11:50 here. That adds up to 61, subtracts to -39, multiplies to 550, divides to I don't care.

Ohh my god I totally feel your pain, back before I just had a 360 that I had like no games for all I did was watch TV and eat. Thank god I have a pc, playing video games has made me lose weight

OT: hmm well 1 of 3 things, watch a movie, surf the web, unsatisfiably play games (games are generally boring if your bored to begin with), and then 90% of the time I think about my life and start getting really insecure about it which normally leads to me talking to one of my parents or my dad's girlfriend. Fun, I know.

I handle boredom terribly. I usually end up indulging some compulsive habit, such as pacing the floor, repeatedly checking every website with which I have an account, more self-destructive things, etc.
