Looking at my self I realize I have never really dealt with my emotions and just tend to put them in the back of my head. I'm just that type of person that will never be able to get to an emotional level with anyone. So my fellow Escapist, how do you handle your own emotions?

With a stick.
Keeping them at bay works nicely.
But when that fails, mild expression is allowed.

I'm an actor. When something messed up happens, I bottle it up and draw from it when needed.
This. I also meditate, practice archery and several forms of melee combat, and listen to calming music.

Depending on the emotion. Usually I bottle it all up inside until it overflows and I then go do something impulsive and irrational.

I tend to ignore it. When they get bad, I usually go on more walks and take more bike rides.

I bottle up the negative emotions until I can smother them with happiness or indifference. So usually I will seem indifferent to what people are saying.

And thus I got my nickname "Squall."

They invented these things called 'Stress Balls'. I make use of them a lot.

I find that I'm very good at resolving my emotional problems internally. I tend to be able to let go of negative emotions by rationalizing them away.

I can keep my emotions in check pretty easily, but in general I'm pretty happy and content with my life. If I'm ever frustrated or stressed I just take it out in the form of weird sex.

bottle 'em up, and use them in conjunction with adrenaline to help me lift heavy weights, and kick the asses of people twice my size in football.

Seems to work.

On your YouTube video, you looked depressed, deprived and completely emotionless.

And I had to turn my speakers on full to hear you. I was almost quite scared that you would suddenly shout and cause my poor speakers to explode along with my ear drums.

Well ad they say "Ignorance is bliss". Just ignore them and there's no problem right?

Kidding(mostly), well I'm a nice person and I don't ***** about it every time I'm sad or angry, nor do I say much when I'm happy for that matter. But things usually work out. There is the occaisional time when people think I'm some kind of evil demon when I don't cry over death or something of the like or show no empathy when people have misfortune...but I really don't care.

I repress them in most company and express them when I'm alone, whether through games, books, or internet things...including you people (thanks for helping me vent). Also, much as I'm annoyed by Livejournal's reputation for being a haven for angsty preteen girls and yaoi fans, I have to admit writing in it comes in handy when I want to gush over or get over something.

With a very few people in my life, I've been able to wear my heart on my sleeve. With one, I was even able to express love.
