With it being rather non-linear, there's a number of ways ya can play a game of Crysis. You can run in and kill everything you see, raising alert to the roof and probably getting an attack helo chasing your ass down, or you can slink through the undergrowth with stealth mode on and assassinate foo's before they ever see it coming. What's your favourite Crysis tactic?

Stealth mode, case the area, pick targets, switch to strength and snipe, moving in to clear up the rest with frags and machingun fire.

Great game.

Stealth as much as possible + strength + fists. Funniest. Or with vehicle making as much noice as possible. Thats the other way :)

I play it after I build a new computer or do a hardware upgrade for 15 minutes and then put it away again.

Mostly cause all these "cool ways to play Crysis" are completely unapplicable during the last half of the game. Fucking aliens ruined everything.

I go into stealth mode, sneak up on an enemy, snap his neck with my bare hands, get spotted by every korean within a mile, get filled with lead, restart from checkpoint.

I typically go with a "maximum confusion" style to my attacks. Typically, I'll start at a distance, and try to use my sniper rifle to pick off a few enemies (and if there's anything explosive, detonate those at a distance to cause maximum mayhem). I'll try to move around the camp a bit, picking off a few more before they can see me, then I'll move in max defense and take out the stragglers.

Now if it's a very small encampment, I'll typically get more "inventive" with my nanosuit usage, (grabbing guys cloaked, then max strength throwing them through a wall, etc.) but for the most part, I'm fairly conservative in my tactical choices. I guess old habits die hard.

What's the deal with strength then, does it actually help your aim? 'Cause obviously it helps to bash stuff up, but I'd never heard of it steadying a sniper :O

Go stealth, run in and grab one man. Go speed and run off and kill him.

Repeat.

I can imagine how scared they must be.

Because guns are heavy. Being stronger stops your arm getting tired whilst propping it up, and so reduces the amount of shakiness.

Basically this. Each shot drained ur power though. I think, been a long time since I played it.

Painfully true. Well, i do remember bashing some aliens in melee.

As for me, i dunno, the fact that it's so open in the way of playing it means i generally run with a mix of tactics, whatever works best. Generally, that means i stealth, then i fuck up the stealth, then i try and shoot things. Then i reload and do it without the humilliating death.
That about covers it for me. The powers never last long enough for me...or at least in the demo they didn't. I just messed up stealth, tried to shoot, then ran away, died, quick load.

I turn all the settings to low and shoot everything. My computer is Steam Powered, so it does crash frequently.

Calumon: It got worse with Crysis Warhead. :S

I run into the middle of a bunch of enemies, then go prone and turn on active camo. Then I pick them off with a silenced AR as they come looking for me.

Or I just punch stuff. That's fun too.
