I read this in another forum and found it surprisingly cool:

First, make yourself a drink. Then, open this http://www.rainymood.com/ Then this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMnrl0tmd3k And enjoy. Ahhhhh........
After a hard, stressful or terrible day...or when you are just tired, what's your relaxing ritual? Anything you do or eat or drink or listen to counts. Let's hear your ideas for a quality, relaxing time.

I barely if ever truly relax. Gaming doesn't really make me relax, watching exciting shows or films doesn't make me relax either, even a book usually doesn't. They all usually make me excited for the exciting plot, brutal action or hilarious jokes.

The last time I truly relaxed was more than half a year ago. We went to the beach, I dumped my towel on the sand, created a nice little pillow from sand and just emptied my mind. I could feel all tensions and worries just sliiiiide off me. A truly fantastic afternoon that was.

Of course I can still be in a mellow mood. It's not truly being relaxed, but the closest I get on a daily basis. Certain kinds of music usually make that happen, a prime example being this song:
Very soothing.

Also, cheers for the link. I truly enjoy the sound of rain, especially when it clatters on the roof (I sleep on the attic) and it's a lazy Sunday morning and I'm all curled up under the blankets, and I'm also a big jazz fan to boot. That's a truly relaxing combination.

Playing MW2 (Ironically) calms me, running around with an M4 w/Grenade Launcher and Tactical Knife D/Eagle is calming. might explain my ridiculous K/D ratio :p

Otherwise music relaxes me

I don't really know how to relax but I guess watching sci fi in bed would come close to it.

I can get into a mellow mood by listening to songs like this however

Videogames usually calm me.
Oh, also metal. Loud, loud metal. There's something just so calming about their constant deathscreams...

Also, this:

Cup of tea, Sandwhich and a good film whilst sat in bed. :)
If not that, a lay down with music on...I can relax to most music from Megadeth to Gorillaz.

I go get wasted at the local bar, end up going home with some chick, and having to call in sick for work the next day.

For me relaxing is just sitting at my computer with some music blasting in my ears while I write. Usually I work on my book but it doesn't always matter, writing in general calms me. I also have to be sitting at my desk, anywhere else just won't do. It all works even better if I have a nice toasted turkey sandwich sitting next to me for me to munch on occasionally, and a can of Fresca to drink.

My friend showed me this today.
Aaaaah.
I don't relax often, probably because I don't get stressed.
I usually listen to music and do a few breathing exercises.
