How, do you/will you be, celebrating end of exams.

It's come to that time of the year for many of us where exams are either finished or next week or soon.

I know there's been a couple of threads about exams recently and I seach barred this and mine's different. (I also like to think it has slightly more discussion value than some.)

So I finished my last exam on Thursday night at about 7pm and I was bouncing all the way home. I had fully intended to get drunk but I can't afford to go out, my girlfriend isn't a big drinker, and drinking alone is a little sad at my ripe old age of 20. So instead I watched a movie with said girlfriend, discussed our future and had a chat with my brother on the phone. Then last night I played Saint's Row 2 for about 5-6 hours and had a nice dinner (Steak? On a student budget?!) and today I've enjoyed a game of HoN with a mate from High School who I've not seen in about 2 years.

So I was wondering, what do you guys do, what have you done, and what do you plan on doing to celebrate end of exams/graduation (I believe it's that time of year in the UK for Highschool students?) or whatever happens for you mid year.

I am hoping that there are not many answers like, "Pick up more hours at Coles/Woolworths/Costco/Walmart." and more like "My mates and I are going to Vietnam and re-creating the top gear challenge of motorcycling up the coast in x number of days" or "Going camping with my friends" or "Seeing my family who I miss dearly." or something fun.

Well, I had my last exam yesterday, so my first year at university is now effectively over. By a happy coincidence, the pub on campus was having a Ciderfest that day, and cider is my favourite drink. I was there from about 1pm-11pm and got about as drunk as I've ever done. So did everyone else. It was hilarious.

Now that that's done, however, I'm probably just going to take advantage of the newfound free time and sleep a lot.

Going home to see the family, catching up on sleep, going on a road trip with my mates who I've not seen since I left for uni (I'm in Australia and they're all going to uni in the UK) and putting in some hard hours at the gym to make weight for MMA when I get back. Also gonna go job hunter before uni starts and sort out some other stuff to ease the financial pressure of paying my own uni fees.

Mostly looking forward to doing sweet sweet fuck all in between though.

I sat my exams in May; got my results yesterday saying I've passed, so no its pretty much now three months of easyish living till I go back for my degree year. I use the word easyish because there aren't any jobs available locally so I've basically got nothing to do besides a bit of volunteer work each week.

I've got to say, I'm surprised by the number of people who's plans involve drinking and no adventures. Well, no planned adventures anyway.

I drank about 20 pints of lager, smoked cigars and played poker. Came third, won my money back from the pot. It was awesome.

We went down to a café in the middle of the town and had a round of nachos and a beer. And yesterday there was a huge party in the university park where both D-A-D and L.O.C performed. Was legendarily awesome.

For me, after my last exam on Friday I will go out with my gf for the first two days most likely and have an awesome time, rest a little, then go out with a big group of my friends and then rest and finish my GIMP wall-paper and Crysis level on the editor. And try to get my 3000th post on the Escapist over the holidays of course.

I wish it were Friday next week now.

Jesus, you only just ended school?

I ended almost a month ago by now.

OT: A little back story... that was an extremely downer moment in my life. I had had another friendship ending fight with my "ex", and because I have (or should I say had due to recent events) the shittiest friends in the world, though didn't realize how much I didn't want to be around her and she suspiciously became very close very quickly with my good friend. (luckily I managed to contain myself and didn't tell him my concerns)

My friend is a rather unattractive and unsmooth kinda guy with ridiculously high expectations, so he is now completely in love with her. Because of his shallow crush, I was ostracized from the group of friends that I've known for years, because I don't have the stomach to deal with her. Funny thing is, he doesn't have a chance, because unfortunately she is a humongous flirt who will ditch her boyfriend for any hint of another relationship.

Long story short, I'm tired I no longer have the respect or patience to tell him just for him to deny it, so I'm pretty much just allowing that friendship to fade as it explodes in his face.

So yeah, back to what I did... My friend got a very strong marijauna and takes me to get completely baked. I'm usually against excessive drug use, but I was clinically depressed. It was a life changing moment which managed to be the best and worst moment of my life.

I was convinced that I was going to die that night, so I tried calling an ex girlfriend (not the previously described one, a one from a few years back that I had always continued to have a soft spot for). Luckily I kept mis-dialing her number and calling some poor old lady. It then became the most hilarious moment of my life.

I'm going to Roskilde Festival in Denmark. It's pretty much just 100,000 people gathered on a huge field, drinking beer and listening to music for 9 days... I was there last year, and I'll be back !

Best celebration ever !! Seriously, it is one of the best experiences of my life... Everybody should try it out before they get old and annoying.

In short that is: I'll get shitfaced for 12 days straight
(because of the immediate post-exam-parties)
