Hi all I am considering merto 2033 for my xbox 360. I want to know how frustrating is this game ?

The reason why I ask this question is because in the gametraliers review (http://psn.gametrailers.com/video/review-metro-2033/63405) say that towards the end of the game there is a exploding orbs section that don't want to relive. This is mentioned at 4:30 of the video.

This makes me think that this game could be frustrating. I don't want to buy this game and find I can't complete the game even on easy.

Its actually not that frustrating as a whole. The easy and normal difficulties are nice if you want to enjoy the absolutly amazing atmosphere of the game, and hardcore is just the perfect challenge level on a second playthrough. That bit at the end with the orbs is really total bullshit and is a terrible part of the game, but after a couple deaths there I figured out how to beat it so its not too frustrating. I strongly suggest getting the game though, most reviews had it wrong in my opinion, its one hell of an addictive game with some really great stuff, that is really only marred by a few stealth issues and that orb section.

The gameplay its self its not that hard what is frustrating is the glitches and the air filters.
The glitches this game seems to have is in small spaces you can go into or out of some areas and the compass that points to were you need to go is either pointing the wrong way or the right way but is confusing were exactly.

The air filters is the only really issue i had you get one or two chances to buy them and they don't last long. The worst part is there necessary for a large part of the game. The game says you can find them out in the areas you need to use them but theres way to few.

After all this is said id still recommend playing it. Its a truly unique game in the genre.

From what I've heard from a friend who has purchased the game is that the most frustrating thing is when you have to deal with a lack of air filters. He doesn't really recommend getting the game now, better off waiting until the price drops or use Gamefly if you have it.

Hmmm, I was intent on buying this but now I'm having second thoughts...

Air filters? Really?

As in...

...a fucking timer???

If this game has a timer it can go to hell.

It dosnt have a timer. It looks like it should, but seriously, if you watch any reviews they do get the bit right about how air filters grow on trees. The idea was for them to be scarce, but if you actually have trouble not carrying 20 on you at all times, or you actualy have to buy some, you should probably reassess your life, because you realy suck at games :p

The bugs are a bit of a problem ill admit, but you get used to them. Stealth is pretty buggy, so if you plan to be a silent killer, your in for a bit of a shitty time. IF you just want to be silent, or a killer, the game is fantastic though.
