How has your Saints Row Character evolved?

Now this topic is mainly for people who try to keep their character roughly the same person throughout the different games. But if you chose to make your characters wildly different in each title, I'd still be interested in hearing it

In SR1 I had spiky hair, wore a grey hoodie, grey cargo pants and a purple t-shirt. My character was a little bit out of shape and had a lot of piercings and a pair of purple shades. Basically I wanted him to look like a novice. Someone who was dragged into the gang lifestyle and just tried their best to adapt.

SR2 I kept the piercings, gave him smaller round sunglasses, and gave him spiky dreads and since he was the boss now I gave him a grey suit with purple pinstripes, purple shirt and black tie. Just as an added Saints bonus, I also gave him the halo because it made me laugh.

SR3 it was actually kinda hard to keep the same character because so many of the things he had in SR2 were no longer available, so I had to play around some. I decided to give him the steampunk goggles and top-hat, and give him the grey overcoat with a purple turtleneck. He has earrings still because those seem to be the only piercings. I also put a bandage on his cheek just for an extra touch.

How have your characters evolve throughout the trilogy? Will you continue it into SR4? (assuming the protagonist of SR4 is supposed to be the same person)

My friend made a girl in SR2 and 3, and he went back into SR1 and changed his character to wear really baggy clothing and basically look like a girl so that he could argue it was always the same character.

Not really sure how well that worked out though.

I haven't played the first game, but between 2 and 3, all that changed was my character ditched the hawaiian shirt and sweatpants for a duster and jeans. Still kept the fedora though.

Probably doesn't matter in the scheme of things.

Not really. The most my male character has evolved is that I made him a little bit older and scarred up his face, which is understandable given what he's gone through.
Right now I have him wearing a black cowboy hat, black model shirt and black jeans with purple highlights and black boots with dark purple soles. And I have yet to get him any tattoos.
He is still a mass-murdering sociopath, though he no longer drinks or smokes (mostly because they took that part out of the game).

In two, I found the war helmet and trench coat and made a nazi, for kicks.

In three, I've made a sort of new emperor - Roman hair cut in a long coat and suit. I get in the roleplaying set of mind playing Saints Row, being a bit more serious this time around.

Not really, no. He seemed happy with how it turned out, so that's all that matters. I'm not one to criticize someones character.

The way my main guy evolved from 1-3: (or rather, he devolved from 2 to 1 then back up, then to 3 seeing as I had 2 before 1.)

In SR1 I basically threw a purple track jacket over the default black tee and jeans, he had a faux hawk and a five o' clock shadow. It fit his look as the rookie underling of the Saints.

In the sequel, I made him completely bald, including no facial hair or even eyebrows. My logic was, dude was in an explosion, his hair was probably all burned off.
He traded in the track jacket for a purple suit and tie combo with matching fedora, the boss of a powerful gang's gotta be stylin' right?

In the third, I pretty much kept the same style except the only thing that was purple was the suit shirt and tie and the little band around the fedora, the rest was black. Oh, and I also gave him pox marks on his face, once again because I think being in an explosion would probably screw up your appearance, and a scar above his lip.

And since SR2, he's had a cockney accent.

Well, I have quite the story.

SR1. HE was an average Caucasian traveling the hood, with a green shirt and jeans, he eventually got Saints tattoos all over him.

(Please don't call me racist for this...please, I was young)
SR2. He was an african american with the cockney accent. I was thinking that the explosion changed him. Eventually in that I a caucasian again but I made him wear a formal suit and more Saint Tattoos.

SR3. He was caucasian and wore the suit, had blonde awesome hair. Well, I'm still working on him, why did they take out some of the customization, it was quite unfair.

I think that SR3 is a testing ground for SR4 and see what people want for it.

I want a bigger city, more customization and a better story and missions.

SR1: A guy with short spiky purple hair and a chubby face, wearing plain clothing. (didn't get very far into SR1)

SR2: Started out as a really skinny female with almost no body shape, baggy jeans, tight t-shirt and purple/green dreadlocks, after taking some advice from my wife I gave her some more fat/muscle mass so her arms looked less skeletal and she actually had tits/ass. Still, she looked freaking crazy.

SR3: Glossy blue/back hair, a very angular face with dark cyan shades, the bustier/trenchcoat combination and tight leather pants with knee high boots. I did give her some tattoos but I've forgotten what they are because they're all hidden. I think I pushed the sex appeal slider up to 65, so she doesn't look like she should have balance issues while running but she still jiggles a fair bit.

Saint's Row 1

Red-haired faux hawkwhite male with Red/White clothing.

Saint's Row 2

Black haired white female basically dressed in business casual red/black outfits.

Saint's Row 3

Red-haired white female with purple makeup applied lightly dressed in business casual purple/white outfits.

Basically, in Saint's 3, I finally used the Saint's colors.

Yeah. Personally, in SR1 I didn't care much anyway. In 2, I made a couple characters that were unrelated save for them being in the same series.

The other guy I made has only changed in the sense that it's harder to put together a character that looks convincingly like a Native. He's gone from slightly Mexican to kinda black.

Only played SR2 and 3; here goes.

SR2 - Started out as a hispanic street punk. Purple mohawk, piercings, tatts, skinnies, the works. (Man, I was a Decker back then). Then I go terrorise the city villian style in a Joker costume, but after a while I settle down and wear a nice 1930s New York gangster suit. You know, old school. Then, towards the end I settle down in a nice white outfit for retirement.

SR3 - Have white hair and beard now. Kind of old looking in that suit, so I decide to get back to my street roots and wear some baggy jeans with a T-shirt boasting a rocket launcher. Then, after the Syndicate gets on my ass I put on a hoodie, try to stay underground. But that doesn't work for long, so the boss throws his chest up in their face.
Now he's completely back at his roots, with a shaved head, tattoos all over his torso and a sweet Saints Fleur-de-lis on his neck. Then to become a little more serious in an ever-expanding enterprise, he wears a leather jacket with black pants. He's dyed his hair black and grown a kind of goatee. But he's still taking things easy. As proof, he even leaves the house without bothering to wear a pair of shoes. Oops! Bunny slippers!
But finally he remembers why he toffed-up in the first place. And that was because the Saints outgrew their street roots and became a business. So he puts his 1930s gangster suit back on and continues with taking over the city. Then finally, once the dust has settled, he puts on the South Beach outfit from Planet Saints for an easy retirement of causing chaos in Steelport.

P.S. Between my hoodie phase and bare-chest phase there was a bit of running around with black rasta hair and a purple bomber jacket, but that ruined the analogy.

P.P.S. Looking at one of my screenshots I forgot my coolest outfit. Between leather jacket and 1930s gangster, I put on a cool jacket with a scarf, but I had bullseye painted around my eye to scare off the Syndicate. And man, did that bullseye look badass in the ring, under the luchadore mask.

buh...Lessee...I started with SR2 so I can't say how he/she started out (I've been told I'm not missing much). The only thing I can say is that my character is addicted to surgery. In my vast repertoire of different people and outfits I can remember a classic gangster (with an 'R'), a muscled-up british punk rocker. A bearded rugby player. A...thing (mustachioed anorexic half-naked, asian female stripper), a batman villain (the suit with the question marks all over it), an english gentleman, an steampunk gentleman, an steampunk 'top-heavy' russian ginger, a bar maid, an anime schoolgirl (big eyes and all), a zombie, homeless, countless cross-dressers and a permanent streaker. Obviously that's kind of hard to develop a background but the fact that I can be whatever the hell I want is one of the key factors as to why I love saints row so much.

I tried to keep her the same to have some kind of continuity...skinny, plain lookign with brown hair

in SR2 her outfit was generally a white tank, track pants and covered in tatoos

SR3 I actually have her there "hipster" look...glasses, t shirt and skinny jeans..which makes her look normal..which is funny

charachterwise in SR3 she seems a little less of a cold hard *****...theres a bit she her and perice were singing along to the radio in the car, bizare how they sounded liek two happy normal people

Yeah, normal people... If I recall correctly that's the mission in which you get into a huge firefight and stuff a grenade into the mouth of a huge power dude.

I guess in the end gangsters are just normal people as well - even in a game as crazy as this. They're just thrown into situations that seem out of the ordinary to most of us.

In SR1, my character had short hair and was muscular-ish, and little chubby. He was a bit of a twig though, and looked young compared to a lot of the others. I saw him as maybe twenty. By the end of it however, he was less fat, a little thicker built, and had a thing for wearing business suits His hair had also increased in length.
In SR2, His skin got marginally darker(He had been burned)and his hair was short again. He still loved business suits, robbing people at the beginning to afford one from impressions. He was sleek and muscular in this one, with his hair eventually falling past his shoulders. By the end, he had also developed a thing for fedoras.
In SR3, he has dropped his Hispanic accent and put his hair in a pony tail, with a wisp of it dangling in front of his face occasionally. His hair has gotten a bit darker, and his eyes have become purple. His face is remarkably close to what it was. He still likes business suits though, and has left the fedora phase. And now, he paints his cars like they were from his gang.
And that's it.
