Depends.

If short interruptions to eat or go the bathroom are allowed, my longest session is probably close to 17-18 hours on Masters of Orion II.

If interruptions are not allowed, the most I've done is probably no more than 3-4 hours.

I did 18 hours last week on Witcher 3. Would have gone longer, but I had to work the next day. I really only get to game when I have a day off work, so when I have a gaming session, I binge hard.

Longest gaming session I ever had was back when I was a junior in high school. It was Friday and a buddy of mine let me borrow Warsong for the genesis. I popped it in when i got home and was instantly hooked. I stopped around 7pm to eat and immediately got back to it afterwards.

...next thing I knew the sun was coming up. It was then that I learned that Tactical RPG's and Turn based strategy games were some of my strongest addictions. Don't EVEN get me started on Civ V...

Does LAN-party sessions count? Because if so I hit 20 hours easy. If not, it was probably around 12 hours or so way back when with Medieval: Total War.

I can play 8-12 hours a day if there's a tight deadline and I really like the game, but I'm pretty fond of things like sleep, meals and showers, so it's more like I'll play 2-3 hours, take a 30-90 minute break, play some more, take a break and so on.

when Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater came out I went from 3pm until the sun came up the next day (around 6am) so about 15 hours give or take for bathroom breaks and grabbing a sandwich and a pizza I ordered.

I honestly have no idea. Maybe 5 or 6 hours? I've been to a few 12 hour LANs, but I've never spent the entire time gaming as those LANs are a great chance to catch up with my gaming friends that I don't see that often. Plus we almost always break out a board game or two in the evening, so there's that too.

I think around 14~16 hours, if I can count short bathroom/meal breaks. These days the longest I get to is around 8 to 10 hours. Still pretty long I guess. :p

No clue, honestly. I am sure it's some insane number, but not sure which game would take the cake. WoW is probably up there, as are the TES games.

One time in college my friend wanted to see Mass Effect's story (but didn't really care to play herself), so we sat down a blazed through all of ME1 in just under 10 hours. We immediately started up ME2 after that and before the sun came up we got an early breakfast at ihop. We played a bit more after that before I couldn't stay awake any longer, lol.

I can remember in my student days getting a game home about lunchtime on a Friday, playing right through until sunrise the next day, and then thinking "fuck it, it's a saturday now anyway!" and carrying on playing until I went to bed Saturday night - so probably nearly 36hours? Civilization, Railroad Tycoon, Transport Tycoon, Master of Magic, Master of Orion and Panzer General all came out whilst I was a student. Looking back I'm somewhat amazed I ever tore myself away from the computer long enough to pass my degree!

I honestly can't remember how much was that one session in Perfect World after which I turned away from MMORPGs forever, but the one I do remember is when I got home, launched to play some King Bounty, looked at the clock and it was seven hours later.

About 17 hours for Xenoblade Chronicles X. I spent most of that exploring and doing side missions.

I seem to be a lightweight compared to some here- 10 hours years ago back when I could wake up early morning and play through the weekend before succumbing to hunger and partaking of breakfast around 3pm. It was an attempt to complete the Ancient Cave (100 large randomly-generated floors with random treasures and you lose all your gear, spells and levels at the start, no saves) in Lufia 2. Sadly, I recall dying before reaching the bottom 20 due to the last floors having harder monsters than anywhere else in the game.

When Bioshock Infinite's third dlc Burial at Sea: Part 2 came out, I decided to beat it on a single playthrough. It took me around 3.5 hours and I have not played any games that long ever since

When I finally finally and one more fucking FINALLY got my Delux Collectors Edition of Mass Effect 3 to actually work after being hit with the Black screen of Death for nearly 200 days(no thanks to EA or Bioware, who happily told me to fuck off chump but thanks for the pre-order), having played it up until the Mars mission with Liara.
I got a growler of stout, Indian food, and sat down and played for like 12 hours straight.

Outside of gaming? There was the nightmare scenario of Twilight Imperium(a game that will live in infamy). It was the first time playing for myself and two friends. There 5 of us total, with an expansion, but unbeknownst to myself and two friends, my older brother had removed one of the Imperial Strategy Card for 1 victory point, because he thought it made the game too short. And then he played the space turtles, and THEN because he had an absolute majority in the galactic senate and went first, played a card that reversed all the planetary resources for the rest of the game as the very first card of the game.

So my production points went from 20 to 2. Maybe it was 3. And the same thing happened to all the other players.

The game last 16 horrible, boring hours with entire rounds of nothing happening because no one had any resources to spend.

I just gotta say, that is absolutely adorable! 3.5 hours! I just want to pinch 3.5 on its fluffy little cheeks! Maybe give it a belly rub!

We've had a few LAN gatherings with friends over the years, they tend to last for 12-15 hours.
So that is my maximum I've gamed in a row.
Games we do are CounterStrike and Warcraft III mainly.
