How often do you change your avatar?

Hello escapists! I have a simple question for you, how often do you change your avatar. It is what everyone see's when they look at your post, and at least for me, what I remember users by. (Which gets annoying when certain images get popular...)

I change mine every couple month's. I just changed it a couple days ago from an Haruko from FLCL to a My little pony gif I made (STFU the show is funny...)

I've been averaging once every five or so months (not counting a certain week-long Halloween avatar), always Type-Moon themed. Mainly because I like switching to a winter avatar around November.

It is much more sporadic and spontaneous then anything else.

My avatar is my Escapist face. I'm pretty sure it's an important part of why other Escapists recognize me - assuming anyone here ever recognizes me at all. I have chosen my avatar, and I stand by it.

Whenever I find one I like more. It's not all that often, as I've only really had 4 that I've stuck with for any length of time.

I occasionally change it for special occasions (Hallowe'en, March Madness, dududf's birthday), but otherwise I have only changed my avatar once in the 2 years I've been here.

Edit: I just changed my picture's caption. Since I'm no longer a PubClubber, my avatar size is back to normal, so I needed larger text.
