So due to budget and lack of hours at work I have some time to play old games. I recently beat Silent Hill 2 (still creepy as all s**t) after over a decade... I currently just popped in Fallout New Vegas. Soon I may get Crusader Kings II, but only because Rome 2 mods crashed my game :/

Quite a bit. Even though I have new games sitting here that I've never even finished, I'm content playing through Fire Red and Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection again.

My steam account also gets ignored in favour of emulating PS2 and Gamecube titles. So yeah, I'm on a nostalgia trip. New video games don't seem to hold my interest much. Funnily enough, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are my most anticipated titles this year.

Quite often. Some of my favorite games are older, and many of them aren't even nostalgia based. Earthbound, Megaman 1-6 and X, Ocarina of Time, and other games are some I never played as a kid, yet I still love. I still have some other games I've been meaning to play that are 10+ years old.

Define "old".

I still play SimCity 2000 here and then:

Warcraft 3
SimCity 4
SimCity Classic
SimFarm
Top Racer 1
Bomberman 1-4

Depends on how old counts as "old". I almost never play 80s and 90s games anymore except for when I occasionally go back to play childhood favorites. The only reason I'd go back to check out a game I didn't play is if I'm interested in its significance to the genre or if I hear that it still stands up today. However, as far as I'm concerned, very few of them hold up today, no matter how great they were at the time.

I do, however, enjoy playing a lot of games from about 2000-2010. Most of my favorite games came out during that time, and I still find plenty of great games whenever I go back to play ones I missed. There's also still a lot of games from that time that I still want to get around to playing, and I'm constantly adding to the list.

I still buy a lot of PS2, PS1, Mega Drive and old PC games, as well as games from early in 7th gen.

I very rarely buy something when it's actually "new." The earliest I tend to buy stuff is about 6 months later when it's about £20 and even that's a stretch. Launch games just cost far too much for me to justify the purchase.

What's old to you, 6th gen games? I played nothing but 6th gen games until last year. Nowadays the oldest thing I'm playing is BioShock, which has been out for 7 years.

Quite often. I recently played Banjo-Kazooie on the N64 and I am currently playing the HD remaster of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racoonus on the PS3 alongside Watch_dogs. For every new game I play I usually play an older game alongside it, I don't know why, it is something I have always done.

Quite often actually. I'm currently playing through Thief 2, planning to play Deus Ex again with some mods (I don't know how many times I've already played it..), I'm going back to Theme Hospital somewhat regularily and there's a lot of stuff installed in my Dosbox for inbetween (One Must Fall, Major Stryker a lot of other stuff). It's not that I only play old titles, it's a mix of everything actually.

I mostly just play older games and indies. They're cheaper and there are some types of games that you can't get anymore outside of those. The oldest games I still play every now and then are Prince of Persia (the original 2D one) and Alley Cat (that's the one where my avatar is from).

All the time. I just bought four new games, and three of them are Atlus games from the PS2 era. There were a ton of titles I missed available for under ten dollars, so now I get to play catch up. Buy four or five games, each among my favorite games of all time, each over a hundred hours long, and each about ten dollars? Yes please. If you'll excuse me, I've got my gaming needs settled for about the next year.

All the freaking time.

One of the feats of PC gaming, one second I could be playing Quake 2 and the next I'm playing Darksiders 2, then jump to Crash Bandicoot 2 and later I'm playing Warcraft 3, so on and so forth.

Last december I bought Final Fantasy VII on Steam and I still find that game a lot of fun.
Also I bought Thief 1/2 a few years ago and I already consider them some of the best games I've ever played, ZERO nostalgia involved.

All the time. I do annual playthroughs for Secret of Mana, Super Mario RPG, and SaGa Frontier 2. I tend to fall back on old games if If nothing new interests me or if I'm burned out on online multiplayer. Actually, I think just recently I started a new playthrough in KOTOR a few weeks back. Gonna have to check when I get home...

I recently finished Battlezone 1. Go download it, it is free:

The asthetics still hold up, at least to me. Movement feels fluid and fast.

Last month I revisited Jagged Alliance 2. There are great Mods out there like Version 1.13 which creates a totaly different Game.

I replayed No One Lives Forever not that long ago so I decided to install No One Lives Forever 2. Haven't finished it but I'm definitely enjoying Jen Taylor's voice work.

I also decided to replay Half Life, Blue Shift, and Opposing Force. And even though I stopped playing Dishonored and The Walking Dead, for some reason I enjoy going back to the first three Splinter Cell games as well as the first titles for Ghost Recon. Oh and the Sly Collection. I love looking for those bottles.

I just played an old point and click a few days ago and I want to get in to playing more classic ones.

A friend bought me Uncharted 2 when it came out. I was grateful, but I wanted to play U1 first. Over a month went by with me playing GameCube games on my Wii instead. Games like Timesplitters. That pissed him off.
