I think I'm popular and the groups i hang out with changes depending on the mood I'm in

EDIT: I guess i tend to hang around the "emo" type people which is odd because my best friend is the biggest jock in the school.

*hugs*

But only because your username reminded me how much I loved this song

Anyway I fluctuated between several groups but now I just do my own thing and keep my friends from whatever groups. I think thats the best way to be.

Fairly popular, I like to thing of myself as the most popular guy who isn't good at sports XD. I don't hang out with a specific group, I'm well known enough I could hang out with any group I felt like

This, although I'm right wing.
One day I swear I'll get around to asking them - "Why do you have to be non-conformists like everyone else?"

I'd assume I'm fairly popular amongst the group though, especially since they love my hair.

Not at all, and glad to be so. I'll hang out with anyone I can relate to and isn't a complete asshat.

But aren't you conforming, by being in a group of other people who don't conform?

Possible double post, Sorry
Not exactly, I started it and I am the only member in my school.
I plan to eventually make a cult out of it, unleash said cult on the world, and watch the results from a safe distance.

I hang in 2 different groups, I hang out with my nerdy friends most times... they are the guys I grew up with and one of them is my step-brother too. And the other is my weekend group (one of them being my cousin) who are a bunch of stoners (I am not, however), both groups are fairly popular... Hmm, and the only constant within the 2 groups is me. :D

I'd say moderately popular. Like, a medium sized group of good friends that I see often, not the 'friends' who you only talk to once in a blue moon or, in the case of many people on things like myspace, have never and will never meet. 300 cyber friends don't count XD

And the group is basically a bunch of misfits with no general label available, including a couple of Emos, a Goth, some Metalheads, some people who are very Indie and then the rest who can't really have a label attached. It's the best group you can ever find ;)

I'm lucky in that the group I hang out with is the "lets go hang out at (X's) house!" group so I always have a party or something to go to when I'm bored. Also got friends in all other groups so I can carry a conversarion with amazing versatility.

I'd say I'm popular in so much as (and this is going to sound very arrogant here), I am yet to meet someone who hasn't liked me. That is until recently though, but that was because I didn't like them and let it be known to them. And only 1 person.

I've only ever had a small group of actual 'friends' though, the largest being 7 including me, and at the present 4, kind of 5, including me. Like at school I only had that small group, but I got on well with and talked to loads of other people.

Edit: Ooh yes, what 'group' was I in. I'd say the Inbetweeners (thank you E4); too popular to be nerds/geeks but not popular enough to be in the 'social elite'.

Not really that "popular," it's stopped mattering since high school. Not really caring what the masses think takes its toll on popularity. And as for what group? I guess there's not really a name for it really. I just hang out with a few good, old friends when I can, and we talk, play sports/video games, drink, and go out on the town now and then.

Those who mind don't matter; those who matter don't mind.

I stopped caring about popularity much later than I care to admit. Eleven years later, I still don't care.

There are two "groups" of friends. The people I pretend to care about in order to further my own ambitions, and those I actually give a shit about. The latter is a mix of many different walks of life, multiple races, and both sexes. They're the ones you'll see me at the bar with on Friday night. Variety truly is the spice of life.

I'm in the "awesome nerd/geek group" because one of the guys I chill with is fairly popular at school.

My popularity? Very low.

Technically speaking, since being a non-conformist is the norm amongst young people, the only way to truely be different is to conform (this would make you unique amongst your piers).

I am at the midway point between popularity and apathy, many people know who I am but that's about it. I don't connect myself to any group or style, although I guess that by definition I am a gamer and a nerd/geek (I don't mind how people refer to me).
