So, I manage how I categorize the Videogames I played [by Platform] and The Movies I watched [by Year], but what about the comics and the books?
Shall I categorize them by region, year, genre, webcomics, etc?
The same goes for the books. Source books, Art Books, Story Books, etc?
Any help is welcome.
Thank you.

First, divide them by genre. Superheroes in one section, webcomics in one, and so on.

Then, sort all the non-superhero comics alphabetically.

Then, sort the superhero comics according to universe. As in, Marvel universe, DC universe, and so on. Place the ones who don't take place in a shared universe in a section of their own, where you then proceed to sort them first according to publisher and then alphabetically.

Yes, sound like good way, but then I must seperate the superheroes comics from French and Japan and some comics from Greece...
So this kind of category isn't so hot for me I must say.
Btw, here is an example of Greek Superhero comic:

Divide them by publisher, Marvel, DC, Darkhorse, etc...

Then Alphabetically by titular superhero.
Then within each hero...I dunno. Whatever you want. Alphabetically, by release date, read-not read, favorites, a Cheeto dust spectrum...

What about comics that don't have publishers, like the webcomics I read? And lets say I do that, please see the comics I still want to read [if I am still alive of course]

Hold your hamburglars. If they exist in paper form, they do have a publisher. By definition, a book has to have a publisher to be published.

I like to organize my comics by the universe (DC, Marvel, etc.), then by hero/villian, then by story arc, starting with #1s and going from there. If there is a story with multiple heroes/villians, I try to keep them within the same arc, so it's a lot easier for me to pick up the next one without moving too much around.

As far as books, I don't really have a collection on par with yours, but if I did I would suggest alphabetical order by title, author, or maybe even chronologically by the year it was published. I can see how the digital stuff can throw that off a bit. Maybe have sub category of online collections?

I'm just spitballing ideas here. I share in your plite for organization, however. It's a real pet peeve of mine when things are out of place.

I separate comics from books, and categorize books by year of publication and author. Comics I guess you could categorize them by studio rather than author and/or story arcs.

Categorize comics by universe, alphabetically by hero.

Categorize books the only civilized way, alphabetically by author.

But the most Webcomics don't have a publishers. Also the creators of the Doujins from Japan don't have publishers and sell it their comics/books to Art/Comics Cons. Also this happen with other people from other countries.
Also don't expect to look for the Japanese/French/German/Greek/etc publishers just for few comics I read...

Wait. Are you going to be sorting actual physical books, or is it some other kind of sorting we're talking about?

Also, webcomics and doujinshi are usually self-published. The creator is also the publisher.

Emm, yes, most of the comics books I read is physical with the exceptions the Doujins, webcomics and the manga comics I read.
Don't expect a comic like "Soldier Cain" being scanned any time soon :p:

So most of the time I buy them and read them.
