As in, pure feats of strength. I ask because I have got a pretty good grasp on his dexterity, athleticism, reaction speed, etc. But super strength is also listed as one of his superpowers, and I can't think of any one thing that frames how strong he is.

So, spidey from the 90's animated series or Marvel's earth 616, what has, thus far, been his greatest feat of strength?

He can hold up collapsing buildings, but not for very long. And they tend to collapse on him. Officially, among the people in 616 Marvel with super-strength, he's on the very low end of the scale: stronger than a "peak" human being (say, Captain America), but no match for people who have "super strength" as one of their key abilities (like, say, Doc Samson)

Well for one thing he is nowhere near strong to Superman or the Hulk (I remember reading this crossover comic with Superman, the villain had to boost Superman strength to match Superman). Still he is pretty strong since he can hold up a car at ease (well not for too long) or anything heavier than that.

Peter was capable of lifting approximately 10 tons in his original body. And it was formerly able to lift 15 tons during the Queens mutation and then 20 tons during The Other event, prior to Mephisto and Dr.Strange's alteration of reality.

He has a habbit of doing that one trick with the runaway speeding monorail... I guess that is a good place to start... he always looks like he is on the brink of collapse from that!

As is usual with these kinds of things, it kind of depends on who is writing him. I've seen versions of him that had trouble holding up a car on one end and on the end had him effortlessly lift a subway overhead or hold up a small building.

He's as strong as the writers need him to be, which I think is also the same case of pretty much every other superhero out there. I see no reason why would anybody be stronger than Superman, yet his fist fights go on and on. I don't get it.

As somebody else said, it's all about the plot. Take smallville, at one time Clark could throw the kryptonite through a small window in a steam room but there are loads of example of people putting chucks on it on his chest and he doesn't throw it.

I would say, stronger than even the strongest human but it's not like he can arm wrestle hulk ...

Stronger than several humans, but not quite what people usually think of as super-strength.

The 90's cartoon had one episode when he first got the symbiot and was amazed that he could lift the back end of a fire truck and mentioned him having trouble lifting station wagons previously.

As strong as the writers make him.

I always figured he was at least as strong as 3 athletic men but sometimes he's much weaker than that.

I think Stan Lee said something about Spider-Man having the strength of a spider if a spider was his size.
That was the original idea anyway, probably has changed many times since then.

It depends

I'd say he has the strength of 3 men when he started but 5 me n in the least now.

But I you take into account life experience The Other story line, the Venom symbiote and his Man-Spider mutation it'll exceed that considerably.
