How to clean/fix a 360 analog

I recently bought a game for my 360, and I've noticed that my left analog stick leans to the left. I usually play games on my PS3, but I bought it at a bargain, and don't want to buy a new controller for one game.
So do you guys have any suggestion on how to clean it out?

I had a drifting Right Analog stick, that would occasionally get stuck in the "Up" position, so I'd sloooooooooooooooooooooowly look down.

I never did manage to fix it...

Then it magically fixed itself a few months later.
