Recently i have had urges to buy old anime DVDs (Cardcaptors, Ghost in the shell, Bleach.)
I tried to control this by watching Digimon and Cardcaptors the movie but it just made me want to own the DVDs even more, but i started thinking, how can i explain that to a friend or loved one when they come round and see a pink DVD with a teenage girl on the front, any suggestions.

I have He Is My Master manga lying around my room. I would kill to have your problem.

...but seriously, I don't think I'd explain at all, unless asked. It certainly worked when I ordered Princess Tutu DVDs using my dad's Netflix account.

Hide it?

Cardcaptors sounds familiar though, I think I watched it a lot as a kid but can't really remember what it's about.

But yeah, definately hide it.

I think if it is well hidden and someone finds it...that's alot worse.

Just say "Err, that's... err, porn.", when they find out that it isn't do you really think they will be mad? :D

Why do you feel the need to explain yourself? It's your DVD collection in your house. If they come into your house and question your DVD collection they can GTFO of your house.

Just tell them you're into pedophilia.
paedophilia. ae. sorry but that spelling really irks me for some reason. ( actually its the way its pronounced when spelt that way, but still)

"im holding it for a friend, honest" always does the trick.
*disclaimer* all facts above are 100% made up

i don't know why this bugs me so much, like a lot of you guys have said it is my DVD collection and i love those DVDs, a lot of you have suggested hiding it but i thought an embarrassing DVD is the same as an embarrassing game, and we don't hide embarrassing games, do we?

Oh damn. I didn't think of that.

You could always hide it where no right minded person would snoop? And if they find it you can say "Well if you wanted to snoop in my porn collection you got what you deserved."

Tell them that it's a gift from your mum, so you need to keep it out of sheer kindness.

Could just take the disc out and put it in another case. Gets rid of the pink. Or alternatively spray paint the pink case a more manly colour I guess.

Simply explain that you were strolling by the city depository for waste and spied these aforementioned DVD titles and decided they were worth salvaging. Honestly though digimon was the hot shit when I was younger, I mean digimon (digimon, digital monsters, digimon are the champions) could move between evolution stages and talk, you never knew what a pokemon could be planning :p You don't have to justify what you like to anyone except maybe your better half :D
