How would / do you fight?

What is your favorite genre, are you a medieval guy, sci-fi, steampunk? What genre would you be a combatant in? Also what is your fighting style? Do you use a two handed weapon (Or two of them) or sneak, or ranged, or sword and board, or magic, or technology? Discuss favorite styles and why it is your favorite.

I personally enjoy medieval/steampunk kind of thing, (kinda like Lost Odyssey) and I fight as a powerful magic user. =D

I like midieval and I prefer archer but when I pretty much fail at that I get my good ol' sword and shield.

I never fuck with anyone who's bigger than me, that's my only rule. Anytime I've scrapped at a bar or a party it's always the same thing: Get the idiot in a headlock, drop my weight on him, and that's about it. Let him get gassed struggling, eat a few punches, then after the dude hasn't had a breath in a while beat the hell out of him.

I'm a very military oriented person.
My fighting style is whatever wins. Trying to fight fair is just moronic and doesn't work all too well.
I generally don't use weapons, but if I do I just stick to a knife or a blunt object.

Two short weapons, such as tonfas or hatchets. It's actually amazing what you can accomplish when you know a little Caribbean stick fighting.

I would fight with an oversized sword thats twice my size that I can swing around like it was made of cheese, not only that but I would shoot lightning and fire and ice out of my hands and summon gods to do my bidding. Do not argue with me for i shall send bahamut to destroy you or at least do 9999 damage.

((raises an eyebrow)) I fight stand-up with ground and pound occasionally. I have really good ground skills but I dont like to use them much.

melee I fight spartan style ((SCA)) with a round shield and medium spear. alternatively I occasionally break out "The Mace of Sauron" and send hippies flying in every direction.

IRL I go for the neck. Works quite well.

In games, however, my weapon of choice varies. For instance: I used a rifle in Fable 2, but I normally stick to swords in fantasy games.

In real life: Grapple them and elbow them in the face. Also, kick the backs of their knees.

in real life, i rely solely on intimidation. i'm actually really weak, but i can be really scary if i want to be.

on a game... i would probably be a magic user. they don't really need physical strength, so i'm ok there.

probably a black mage if you want to be specific.
