Is it any good? I like Platinum Games in general - Bayonetta, Vanquish, the Clover games before them - but I'm not a fan of multiplayer (which is probably dead by now anyway) and I wonder if the single player is worth picking it up, in terms of fun/story/content/replayability etc. From what I've read around it barely made an impression and most of it was 'meh'.

One of the best character selection screens of all time and on that topic the characters are also great. Now for single player er do you like arena brawlers as in defeat this wave now defeat this wave and so on before finally a boss appears if so you will like it as its one of the funner ones I have played (which are few) in that regards if you dont like them much (like myself) its ok there is fun to be had and its likely dirt cheap now anyway so probably worth it for a few hours entertainment. If you hate them dont even bother.

Honestly Online play was the main reason to get the game and when it worked it was an absolute blast, unfortunately it rarely worked and the lag was gamebreaking which certainly did not help in the game maintaining an online player base which died pretty quickly. It honestly feels more like a proof of concept than a full price game but I dont think it was full priced I believe it was a budget release.

Its not a patch on Bayo and Vanquish for the single player and far far below stuff like Okami basically there is almost no story and the action gets quite repetitive quite quickly but it is a blast in short bursts with some great character design seriously the cast was fantastic. I would love for them to make another one in the future with more content (not padding) and a much improved netcode.

It's a solid 'D+'.

It's not BAD, but given the online is, well...dead...it gets knocked from a C to a D+.

Just not a whole lot of meat there.

While not better than Mad World, it is still a decent game. The game basically plays like an easier version of God Hand with some decent depth. If you can get it for $5 or less, go for it. Once the singe player is finished, there is not much reason to play it unless you really like the survival challenges. The soundtrack is pretty dope too, and surpasses Mad World's music.

Maybe I'll try it. I liked God Hand, and I think I can get it dirt cheap anyway.
