For me, the most significant thing missing from HR was that I couldnt play the 'prankster' as I could with JC Denton.
The sandbox enviroment of the orginal Deus ex gave the player the option of behaving like complete lunatic and the NPCs seemed to respond to certain things (or demonstrate some confusion or annoyance by JC's irratic behaviour,
-for instance if the player starts switching a light on and off repeatedly, steals or breaks something.
In some cases it was even funnier when they didnt or the response was totally inappropriate! I remember having a cut scene with Manderly while standing on his desk inexplicably holding a pot plant and he just acted normal, it was priceless XD.
Human Revolution has great depth an allows for alot of choices, but it kind of forces me to be conventional and serious in what ever i do, (and the lack of enviromental interaction) means there is little opportunity to goof around as mutch.
I rememeber my trips to Hong Kong in the first game because they where a hoot!
Did Anyone else do the following?
Wan Chai market.
1) Destroy the china shop with your melee weapon, then speak to the proprieter who kindly asks you..."do you like?"
2) kill the rats in the tea house
3) Prod the little boy who hates you
4) join in with hilarious Triad sword fight in the tunnel.
Lucky money club
1)Pay to let the Assie girls in then, make your money back by robbing the box office.
2)Smash your way though the mirrors on the dance floor though to the room full of triads (yet they calmly receive you as if you just stumbled through the wrong door.
3)Observing the russian sailors antics on the top floor.
4)Shooting all of Max chens fish, only to be told by his body gaurds " you acting like a fool"
Maggie Chows appartment
After talking to her, smash all her appartment windows and hurl all her furniture out on to the street below. (she really doesn't like it)
Feel free to list your funniest Deux Ex 1 moments...
