She has been ill for a few months now and today we found out that she only has few days left. So I want a thread with nothing but happy stuff. Talk about a game you are enjoying and why. Talk about a book you love. Maybe a movie. Hell just tell a funny story about something that happened to you. As long as it is positive/happy then post it.

I have been playing the Witcher 3 and I have loved every minute of it. None of my friends have so anyone who wants to talk about that with me I would love to do so and it would be a great distraction. I have finishd it but remember spoiler tags for other people.

Thanks all in advance

I remember seeing my grandmother for the last time. She was laughing and surrounded by the people she loved. I haven't been to her grave for a few reasons. The first is it's across the country and the second is to avoid tainting the happiness I still feel towards her.

I've gotten back into my old PS2 games. In Socom: Combined Assault, the AI is laughably bad. They frequently have super-duper-uber-elite soldiers running into walls and slowly turning their heads. They are also baffled by smoke to the extent that I can punch them in the face and they will fail to respond and have a nasty habit of wearing night vision goggles in broad daylight. On a snowy mountain. On a sunny day. They also definitely have the same programming as the untrained rebels we are helping, so it's quite interesting when they fight and are evenly matched. It's really funny when the game draws attention to this when a soldier I rescued (voiced by Nolan North because of course) said that he was mystified by how expertly trained the enemies were.

On the downside, I find that using smoke for the aforementioned reason and relying on headshots is the only way to play this game. Running and gunning will just get you killed. It can be a little repetitive when you discover such exploits.

I am not skilled at cheering people up but dang if I'm not going to try.

I don't really know what your humour type is, OP. So here's one of my favourite comedians. He's very good at saying strange things in a deadpan voice.

And a personal favourite, some silly LOTR

As for personal positive stuff, I baked some cupcakes for people and most of them said they were good. Made me all happy inside. c:
I've been called all sorts of lovely things by the people I'm on a course with. Honestly such a nice group of people. I could probably gush about them and the teacher all day but I won't because it'll be mostly nonsensical garbage and mumbled up baby-talk.

I remember finishing Dragon Age Origins for the first time and hearing this:

A lot has happened since then, but as long as I never forget the precious moments like that one, everything will be all right. That's all you have to do, really. You'll impact a lot of people and be impacted by a lot of people in life, but so long as you remember how happy you were to know them, you'll be all right. Do not despair, for the sad times will pass. Share your sorrows with your friends and family, celebrate the person you all miss and what they meant to you.

EDIT: OH SHIT MATE, WE VUVUZELIN'???

Finally watched The Lego Movie and found that really enjoyable. Quite a funny film with very interesting animation and storytelling. Think the person who did the review for the movie for this site was mostly spot on for how good it was.

Positive...positive... well this seems entertaining even after the 50th watch

*hugs* I lost my grandmother this January, so I know how you feel. For the comedic requirement, have a ferret carefully considering its jumping.

As for the inevitable...remember her. Think back on all the great times you had with her. If she's still awake and aware, smile, and hug her. We can give you all the happy things in the world, but the best happiness you can get, is making sure you have pleasant memories of her, and her last days.

I remember the last time I saw her, she was smiling, asleep, and clutching the stuffed animal I got her for christmas so tight that the nurses hd to use another arm for her blood pressure.

Do you know the story of how Lelouch and Suzaku saved Nunnally's life?
Other than that, have a JP YTP!

Very sorry to hear this, I hope you find some good distractions here.

As to the witcher3, still exploring the world and enjoying every moment.

I did have a situation today where a glitch hit me (first time experiencing one), riding by a group of drowners I chose that time to see if my crossbow would work on my horse.
It did of course and I was so pleased I decided to wheel back and take another few shots as I trotted by.
Didn't look where I was going, got stuck on a tree and had to dismount to fend them off.
Promptly clipped inside roach, couldn't draw my sword nor use any signs.
Had to try to defend myself with the crossbow and my grenades all while jutting out of my horse's arse.
There are better defensive positions in the world, suffice to say it did not go well.

This way for cute animals.

Well I just had this strangely awesome warm-up round in CS:GO in which Ride Of The Valkyries was playing but instead of going on guns blazing, I ran around with just a knife....and got 4 of 'em. That was pretty epic.

Also, these fuckers right here:

Goddamn if that isn't the cutest sound in the world.

Do you have an old game you love dearly that you want to be revived?

There is hope. [http://i.imgur.com/X825ZxU.jpg] The evening of April 10 was a euphoric one for me. Honestly, if they stopped after doing that, I don't think I'd mind. But that would be selfish of me. There's plenty of other Timesplitters fans to please!

Anyway, enough about me. Sorry to hear about what you're facing. Here's an imgur album of bunny gifs [https://imgur.com/a/OnAIQ#84ptWMI].
