And I have to say...the campaign is actually surprisingly good. I think this is probably the first time I've given a shit about any of the characters in a CoD game since probably the original Modern Warfare. The Jackal Strike Missions and sections are actually well done too, and its' interesting enough to actually want to see it through to the end.

Its' actually kind of sad that a campaign CoD this...good is stuck with a multiplayer as shite as it is. Because IW's MP is awful - the best way to describe it is as a cheap Chinese knock-off of Black Ops 3, but worse somehow.

What exactly is bad with the multiplayer? I know a lot of people never cared much for the jetpack-stuff, but beyond that it doesn't look terribly different from Advanced Warfare to me.

Pretty much, while I enjoy both BO3 and IW multiplayer, IW took a step back with its MP. The map designs is in general pretty awful, the maps are too small and the spawns are pretty bad. The character designs are also bad, like in BO3 you can customize your character with new helmets, uniforms and emotes but it all feels very bland in IW.

I had fun with the campaign as well. Something that I haven't really had since Black Ops II. Advanced Warfare was kind of meh, Black Ops III tripped (I think this is because the wanted the whole thing to be co op, and the campaign suffered for it), and Ghosts was terrible.

But sadly, I still don't think this campaign fully recaptured the magic from the old games. All too often, I found myself either by myself, or with one or two unkillable teammates doing stealth missions or small-army missions. Now, the final missions? The ones where you are on Mars? Good. Great, even. THOSE missions are the missions I miss from Call of Duty. The ones where I'm in a huge firefight with A.I. all around me fighting and dying. There were a few other good missions scattered throughout the campaign, so I have hope that they're finally dragging the series back to what made it fun, but...they still have a ways to go I'm afraid.

How was Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) portrayal as a bad guy?
I haven't played it but I've seen some of the cut-scene footage and heard from a couple reviews that Kit Harrington plays a bad guy the same way he plays a good guy, except with more shouting. This doesn't surprise me if it's true.

Seriously, if they're gonna go for the game of thrones fanbase, there were PLENTY of people to choose from who probably would have done a better job. Hell, Peter Dinklage already has shown he's not terribly choosy about his roles and evil Tyrion would be fun to watch.

Or just go straight for Charles Dance for a more evil magnificent bastard.

Granted, none of this would have solved the script problems of the bad guy acting evil just for the sake of it

Take BO3, but degrade EVERYTHING. Less responsive, less interesting and overall worse map and character design, washed-out color palette, boring weapon design and most aren't fun to use, weird create-a-class and specialist system and the return of the Supply Drop system, but with a vengeance.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I quite liked pretty much everything about infinite warfare. The campaign was a lot of fun, although the story was still silly. Seriously, stop requiring the faction that the player character is part of to be on the defensive, what made the plot of cod4 so good was it didn't have any of that shit. I even quite enjoyed the multi, more than blops3s. The movement system in blops3 felt awkward to me, it feels much smoother and more controllable in IW. Although I still prefer just having the jets in Advanced Warfare.
