I cant read anything on the website

i can read the forums just fine, but this darkness 2 background really needs to go. i cant read a single news article, and i cannot seem to find a setting to turn it off. im tired of having to highlight anything just to read it

basically, when i go to the escapist homepage it shows an advert for darkness 2 + it has the background behind any lettering black. my font color is black as well so you can see how this doesnt work, so far, if i change the font settings for the browser, im able to read it, but that also changes the font settings for every other website...

*edit: nvm they just removed it or for whatever reason i no longer have a issue thanks!

I've never seen it. Either I'm lucky or it is indeed a regional thing. But I sympathize, I remember how that El Shaddai ad messed up the site's loading times. At least you could read things, but watching a video was more trouble then it was worth.

Kind of. The comic is vastly different. About the only thing the games got right was theres a dude called Jackie who works for the mob. The rest was them just fucking hacking it apart and turning it into a extremely bland FPS.

Yeah, the Escapist has kind of a history of horrible ads that fuck with site usage. Seemingly only in the US. I don't know that for sure, but there seems to always be lots of "it must be a regional thing" commenters when these things crop up. And I'm almost positive that those "El Shaddai" ads that always made everything lag were only in the US.

Seriously, Escapist. Get your shit together.
