Let's say you're playing dance dance Godzilla space wars and suddenly a plot twist or something occurs that brings on the water works. Now, I'm not a reddit/tumblr fan, but I do know one thing.

Mine has to be the sole reason why I don't play Sobek in Smite. I.. words can't explain it. Just watch.

What are yours? Now if you'll *sniff* excuse me...
...There's something in my eyes.

Wait didn't you just make a thread about this game ? Like today? I'm not attacking you or anything , but i could have sworn , while not a thread about the same thing , it's just you were already talking about smite .

OT: no not really . Twists don't affect me . The 1 and only time i cried, like a ***** i may add , was the ending of Xenosaga episode 3 . I played all three back to back , and didn't realise i have gotten attached to the character until the final cinematic . And i cried , and cried . And cried after the credits .

I handed in my man card that day . Which was about 6 months ago . I was 23.

Alright fine, I'm talking about Smite a bit too much but it's only because a burning lap in Burnout 3 is driving me nuts and I want to talk about something that makes me slightly happy or depressed so I can cope with it. Speaking of which, I cry every time I see a burning lap with a gold medal above 1:15 minutes. And with a circuit racer. For those confused, this means that you have to have your finger nailed to R1 for constant boosting, a car that steers like arse and drifts like a double arse and no crashing. And even then you might be too late. And for the time limit, 2:30 means a 60 billion KM of a track to race in, and when you envitably crash, you have to go ALL the way back from the start with whatever crap they classify as rock. Personally I'm starting to hate Memory - Sugarcult with all my soul.

I never cried about something that happened in a video game, but the most emotional moments that almost brought me to tears were from Metal Gear Solid 3 (you know the scene), Mass Effect 3 (you know the scenes) and the entire Assassin's Creed Revelations.

The thing about AC:R is how sad it was seeing Ezio so far away from home and so old, writing those letters to his sister where it is subtly revealed that he regrets the life of violence and loneliness he had to lead.

Hey anything with a really good story will likely make me cry. I was shocked when Hanako's true ending only made me tear up instead of actually crying in Katawa Shoujo for example.

Most recently would be Labrys' story arc in Persona 4 Arena. Been maining Labrys online ever since I finished that backstory. T_T

I WISH there was a #024 colour for Labrys. It would the the one time where I would change a character from their default colour. Except if there was a Hazama themed Naoto of course (i've seen the designs on DA, tell that's an unlockable colour)

Oh and Episode 8 in TTGL. Fuck.

I'm fine with Kamina being dead, ok, not crying. Then he gets back up in Gurren, punches Simon in the face to snap him out of his suicide then points at the heavens with a badass speech and orchestral music? Gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME.

He comes back from the dead just to make sure Simon gets through the battle alive. Or alternatively, he dies but just refuses to *actually* die until he made sure they won because lol Spiral Power. Seriously, if you look at the indictator in the mecha, Kamina's icon is totally black throughout the entire thing.

No matter how many times I play it, no matter how much I brace for it. The sound of that final gunshot in MGS3 always makes me flinch.

Dom's death is always a strange moment for me. Yeah, it's kinda cheesy but Mad World makes it quite the hard hitter.

Same here, same here. That whole part was...emotionally heavy. Another part that gets me every time in TTGL is the part near the end, where
Kittan sacrifices himself so that everyone else can survive. The way it builds up to it, and the way he explains why he´s doing what he´s doing, while that one song plays quietly in the background. That last shot, with his eyes filled with spiral energy. Gets me very emotional.
.
Another extremely emotionally heavy one was Clannad: After Story. I think people who have watched it know what parts I´m talking about.

And even tho there weren´t any specifications that this thread was only about video games, I´ll add one, just in case. And it´s a pretty obvious one: The Walking Dead. Yep. Don´t really have anything to say about it. What it did, it did good.

I would not feel comfortable watching or playing any of these three if someone was near me. I mean, gotta have a bit of manliness left, am i right!!? And these are basically the three things that ...affect me the most. And when i say "the most", i mean they affect me very heavily. And i still find all 3 of them to be amazing experiences.

The walk before the final mission in Mass Effect 3. Given how invested I had been in these games for the past five years, saying the final goodbyes just broke me.

Also, the ending to MGS3. I damn near saluted the screen the first time I saw it...

Dude! I'm playing through that game for the (One-hundred and)first time! Not cool.

Anyway, sort of related. I cried the first time I saw the ending to Crisis Core. Still tear up a little every time I see it. Not ashamed to admit it.

Aw God my feels. You'd think you'd get over that episode but nooooooooo. Then TTGL episode 27's ending show up and ruins your day.

Simon faces a God like entity, gets many of his friends killed in the process, literally "Pierces the GOD DAMN HEAVENS with his drill!", and wins because lol Spiral Power. All of it to save Nia, the love of his life... only for her to vanish on their wedding day... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! D':
THEY LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER! HAD SEX! AND HAD A BABY NAMED KAMINA! NO I AM NOT IN DENIAL, THATS HOW TTGL ENDED!!!

OT: Persona 4s ending. Your adventure with your fictional friends ends like this, and I frikin balled.

When that music kicked in... aw gawd :'(

Thank goodness they added the epilogue to Golden, so bittersweet. :')

You basically managed to summarize why AC:R in my favourite game in the series. I felt it had the most Character development and definitely the best gameplay in the series (Haven't played AC3) but really seeing Ezio old like that and falling in love while writing those letters was the best part in the whole series. Especially paired with the animated short film they released as sort of an epilogue to Ezio... that hit me pretty hard with the ending.

From Zidane's Departure to the reunion one year later...The ending of FFIX always makes me cry. Even when it's shown, fragmented in Theatrhythm for Melodies of Life: I cry like a *****. Every. Single. Time...

I beseech thee, wondrous moonlight, grant me my only wish! Bring my beloved Dagger to me!

Ending music to this game. One of the best RPG's I have ever played. Making Pokey retreat. Smashing Giygas. Then the credits roll at the end, playing some of the best music I have ever heard.

Super Mario Galaxy storybook, particularly around chapter 7, and here I was thinking only goombas and koopas could die in the Mario universe.
