So Im in kind of a bind. See I need a program that will let me make a short animation but I cant seem to find a one I like. Primarily I am just looking for something like a Frame to Frame freehand drawing animation program with he ability to at least copy previous frames and modify (I mean I have a tablet for a reason).

I have tried Pencil but it is so bare bones I cant do much with it.

Tried the various professional animation programs (like Sinfig and Anime Studio) but they all just seem like Flash nock-ofs and not suited for my purpose.

Currently using GIMP to at least make the frames but even then I would not know how to export said frames into an animation.

Any advice or recommendations?

Photoshop CS5 has frame by frame animation features.

Also you could try the old old fashioned way (by which I mean a light box, paper and a pencil) then a freeware program like monkeyjam to put all the frames together. It's annoying though if you don't have a bulk feed scanner.

I think Photoshop probably fits your needs best. Also works well with a tablet.
