This question isn't so much for me as it is for my friends. I'm the only person in my group of friends that has a dream and a vision for the future and all of my firends ask for advice on how to find their passion. I don't really have an answer for them. One day it just came to me that I wanted to be an astronomer and since then i've pursued that. So my question is: are there any books out there that I can recommend to my friends on how they might get a better idea on what they want to do about their futures?

Sure. Recommend them some Albert Camus. After having read his books, they will all decide that every choice is equally pointless since we're all doomed to eventual death and nothing we do matters even the slightest in the long run.

I don't think there are any books that can help you find passion/goal in life, since it's different for every single person on the planet.

Maybe a personality test like the Myers-Briggs is a good place to start them off, it gives them an idea who they are, how they interact with others and what kind of environment they are likely to thrive e in.
