Honestly, I don't like Apple products. The only attractive thing about them, to me, is the actual hardware itself. They design sleek, modern looking laptops, and the new iPod looks much better than the old one, but I just can't stand the operating systems.

I find Apple to be a very big-headed corporation. For example, I don't understand why they can't make songs on iTunes work with Windows Media, and some other programs. Apple software isn't compatible with anything that isn't Apple as well. (To my knowledge, my mistake if there are some exceptions.)

And the Mac OS isn't nearly as customizeable as Windows. With Windows you can change virtually any setup, but with Mac I think the most you can do is sort things in folders (only inside the ones on the desktop) and change the background. I find that kinda ridiculous.

This is just my opinion though, no offense to any fans of Apple or Apple itself.

I personally love my ipod but I agree with on the itunes. Itunes is the bane of my life it's just not as functional as it could be, and all my attempts to find a decent replacement to sync with haven't been very fruitful. Haven't had any experinence using osx or any other apple products so i cannot comment on them.

I personally prefer apple computers at least to windows ones, but I do see your point on customizability, OS is not any where as near as controllable as windows, but it has security windows doesn't. As for itunes music, from a business sense it makes sense because they don't want you doing anything too questionable with music obtained from them, plus for the producer of the music, its just another way they can make double the money on a single song, or at least it would be if everyone didn't have file converters or share music. That being said, itunes has kicked me in the balls my fair share of times too.

That's good, because it's the aesthetic that you're paying for if you buy an Apple product :D

To be fair, Microsoft aren't exactly paragons of open file standards - pr. sure Open Office couldn't open .docx files for a while.

APPLE SMASH

Apple is a magical company. They can restrict customer choice but maintain the image that they are the protectors of freedom. Its great enough that I own stock in their company. WOOT. moneymoneymoneymoneymoney
