I'm downloading WoW: Starter Edition right as we speak. Am I a bad person now?

Quite personally, no. But this is from the guy who just now is playing Half-life 2.

...

and is a literal sheep.

Baa.

Don't see how that makes you a bad person. You want to see what all the hype is about I would guess. I would too, but I'm scared of getting sucked in and I don't to pay the subscription later on.

imo, Sheep=Fans, if you're trying it to see what it's about nothing's wrong.
Now if you start going into forums bashing someone for not understanding or saying they don't like it, that's bad.

That is a smart move.
I do the same thing, I will usually never play something that I will have to pay for, because it will most likely cause me to want to continue playing, but now I have to pay for it, and I don't have the money. Also, it's usually an online game, and I have to go out to get internet access, because I don't have it at home. So it's kind of a waste of money if I can't play without the internet.

I own Half-Life 2, and I can play that at home.

You aren't really a sheep to be honest, it's always worth trying something out if it's as popular as WoW is.

Waiting to try something out until it's available for free isn't being a sheep, it's being smart. Who's got $15 a month to spend, these days? I certainly don't.

I agree with this post.

Hopefully no one mentions "cows".

OT: If you're genuinely curious, then no, you're not a sheep yet.

Playing a game that you are curious of isn't being a sheep in any way. You are interested in what all the fuss is about, which is why games such as Skyrim will sell.

It's not being a sheep, it's being curious; with good reason.
