I live in Canada and I made a pretty sad move and I preordered Skyrim but I got it mailed to my house instead of being able to pick it up on launch day like everyone else in the world. Mainly because of the fact I live in Canada and I figured I wouldn't want to go outside when November rolled around. I don't get my copy until the 22nd.

I have seriously driving myself insane in anticipation so I wanted to hear what cool stuff has gone down with you guys here so I can hit the ground running when I finally get this game.

I'm thinking I'm going to go with an elf thief that specializes in bow and arrow and dagger/shortsword combat while weilding some conjuration and restoration. I wanna see if I can get by without having to resort to distruction magic too often.

Please don't spoil too much of the main quest or some theives guild or dark brotherhood stuff or any other faction but what's the coolest shit you guys have done so far? Cool items you've found, dungeons you thought were perticulairly awesome?

Oh and yes, I know about the werewolf stuff.

Just fought and killed my first blood dragon today.

Not only did I fight a blood dragon, I also watched it take on and kill a trio of 3 bears beforehand.

This game is too sick.

imo, best race is orc, cause of there racial power, i love 2 handers, my fav fighting style in the game, i hate duel wielding. level up your black smithing with ether iron daggers or leather bracers, so you can get dragon armor right away, kill a few dragons and you should have a full set.

You can easily get by with no magic at all really, if you don't want to. Skyrim is so much better than Oblivion in that there is no truly weak build ( I guess you'd be a bit behind if you went Illusion, and only Illusion, but you get my point...), everything seems to work at least decenty. So far I've played a High Elf mage (Destruction, Conjuration, Alteration), Wood Elf Assassin (Bow & Arrow, single dagger), Orc Warrior (Heavy Armor, Two-Hand weapon), Argonian Adventurer (Light armor, single sword), Dark Elf Warrior (dual-wield swords, Heavy Armor, Restoration) and I'm now doing another play-trough with a High Elf Warrior (light armor and two-hand weapons). All of these combinations has been great fun for me, none of them have felt under-powered and they have all been rewarding in completely diferent ways.

I can't tell you too much, but I will say this; No matter how long you have to wait, it's worth it. The end result is just SO good! I'm a diehard TES fan, and expected a lot from Skyrim, but I'm blown away by how much better than I expected it to be it actually is... Your in for a treat my friend, blessings of the eight Devines upon you!

I've had the game for about a week soon... I've played so much I've lost track, every single available minute has been Skyrim XD. I already warned my social life that I wouldn't be around around this time though, and to be honest I'm pretty sure they are at home doing the exact same thing right now...

The best part is when Dohvakiin has to sacrifice himself to save the dragons' homeland from being destroyed by the technologically superior imperial army.

Great ending to the game, for real.

my dad (im not a kid, hes an old geezer) is totally insane about it. he spends most of the work day thinking about skyrim. i looked over his shoulder sometimes and hes a Nord Warrior who prefers archery, lots of healing magic and a companion.
im gonna be something like that when i manage to rip myself from oblivion.
my dad tells me there is also a mod which allows character romance and gives extra
conversation options

Such an emotional ending, i shed many tears ;( . At least in the cliffhanger ending it shows the dragons developing stick based technology, leading them ever closer to the legion
